Beats me, I don't vent (complain) much, ESPECIALLY publicly.
But I roll my eyes a lot........

Same here Longshadow.

I even have a t-shirt that says "I'm sorry, did I roll my eyes out loud?".

I was a tree climber for about 10 years,
Was one of the best jobs I ever had.
Decided to get out of it only because I started to see co-workers starting to get injured,
nothing major, but just figured my day might be coming, so I just tried to stay one step ahead and get out while I could.

Thanks for the job you did for 10 years. I was watching these guys and they are brave.

You can post up to 10 in a row in one thread, and put labels in the text box below the image if you like.

Thanks. I did try that and I guess it didn't like what I did.

Got it in one! Messy, but a huge oak fell on on my parents house years ago. No one hurt, but they sure needed the insurance. Yours looks like it is mostly cleanup.

It was mostly clean up...but oh man...it was messy. No one was hurt but our gutter.

We had some rough weather pass thru last Monday...I think it was a microburst. Anyway, 2 big limbs fell into our yard...got some action shots of the tree company cutting down the limbs.

Hi Eric852. Here are my settings: F/8, ss 1.8 / ISO 100/ Focal Length 105 mm. This is a prime lens. Not sure if it was focused to infinity as it was dark and I didn't have a source of light to check. Do you think my ss was too fast still? This is a learning process for me as this was the first time I tried this. Thanks for looking and comments. Just another work in progress.

I like the effects you got, too.

I'm curious, though, why the "macro lens" gave unexpected results. I'd think a macro lens focused at infinity would give basically the same results as a non-macro lens of the same focal length (and as near as I can tell that's what is shown in your images). What is unusual to me about your images seems more related to the shutter speed than macro/normal lens (unless your macro lens is quite a bit longer focal length than your normal lens and that is what you are drawing attention to).
I like the effects you got, too. br br I'm cu... (show quote)
