Received my first DSLR camera for Christmas: Nikon 3100. I have always had an interest in capturing still images but never really took the time or the equipment to invest in to that interest.
Everything I ever shot with was a dumpy 35mm film camera or a digital "auto me a picture" camera. I'm amazed at some of the pictures I was able to capture quite by "accident."
I'm excited to be involved in this forum and learn as much as I can about lenses, focus, speed, poses, etc. I don't want any more happy accidents. More or less, I want the formula and understanding of why that photo came out the way that it did.
My first camera was the Polaroid 600 and then the Polaroid Spectra with all those amazing filters!!!
