Besides a macro lens you can get close up lenses

that attach to the front of your camera lens or extension tubes. Tubes compromise the image quality less than the lenses. Both however will mean in macro shots you are going to have very low Depth of field and also almost certainly camera shake. The answer i sto use a tripod or a large bean bag to rest your camera on, push up the ISO and then use a smaller aperture which will give you better depth of field. Find it is great as you can enter the figures over and over again changing the aperture and you can see the differences that a stop or two make in practice. Good luck. here's the link
