Touch on light and exposure early on but tell the students it will be covered in depth on week 3. It definetly helps to have even a basic idea of light and exposure in your head early....
I have taken photo 1 and photo 2, lighting for photography, digital imaging and documentary photography at my community college all for just about 1,500 bucks. This is not to say I have mastered them by any means, but I do have a solid foundation to build my own work on....
yeah, thats what I was afraid of Danilo....I am definitly interested in macro shots, and my next question was in regards to distance from subject. Ok so with an FX lens i could get that now and use it with my D3100 and it would transition with me as I upgrade....is that correct? Thank you all for the insight.
Also, I thought the nikor 40mm was 1:1? I would like the 60 or 100 but like many, funds are short
I should have mentioned I am using a D3100 now, looking to upgrade to a D7000 in a couple months....full frame eventually though that's a ways down the road.
I am thinking about getting this as my next lens, most of the reviews i have read are good but I wanted to ask if anyone here has any experience or info on this lens? thanks in advance...
i am also considering a d90 or a d7000. I was about to give up on the d90 because "its old" is the main response i hear when asking about it. My question now is what makes it old? Is it the lack of in camera edit ability, megapixels, or just simply age? Right now Im shooting the D3100 and really want to upgrade so if anyone could help clarify a lil more that would be great.
i know the D90 is old but was considering it due to the ff sensor, but I guess that is out now...lol. Is there a D5200, im looking at the Nikon site ond it shows only a D5100. ok so now its a toss up between the D5100 or the D7000. I will be looking into both cameras more in depth, I just wanted a good starting point to jump into the sea of info...hahahah thanks again
currently I am shooting the D3100, though I am happy with the camera it is time to step up. My question is whats next, i am looking at either the D5100 or the D90. i am leaning towards the D90 because from what I understand it has a full frame sensor. Any help or thoughts on this will be appreciated, and thanks .....
great ones, im havin a problem with five though....im sure it will be obvious but any hints? lmao

well i guess i did leave out some info huh.... i am shooting a Nikon D3100, using the 18-55 kit lens with a tripod. i was really just asking for a better understanding of the uses for high ISO, as I said i rarely shoot above 800 but it would be nice to get good results when i do use it...thanks for all the replies everyone
Justin
I would maybe drop the text that says you can view the photos on facebook, and add a link instead...

Ahh yes you are right i added the wrong page here that is my pricing page.
so I rarely shoot above 800 ISO and that is only ocasionally, so my question is what is the advantage of higher ISO's. The few times I have used them the results were not so good, being super grainy was the major issue?
Any suggestions or insight would be great, thanks.... :)
actually yes it was, I was trying to get just the middle in focus with the fore and backgrounds soft. it is a reminder to me...you can see the past and look ahead to the future but must remain focused in the present.
