Here is how the Canadians have come up with an inexpensive speed bump. People see these slow down and try to straddle them. after awhile they move them to a different location. The wonders of photography

That is a great idea

In the UK this is reality but they can't be moved
Just new ones appear

First shot with the SX50 and the second from the Canon A490. I like to take close ups with the pocket sized A490 and sometimes I get great results.

Really like shot 1 - that blue gives the flowers a real vibrancy

I was visiting friends on their 6,000 acre farm & took these during sunny breaks. They grow sugarcane (the main crop around here) & run Angus cattle.

Great shots of the area - I really like the rustic look of a modern race and crate in shot two

I know the rule of thumb for shutter speeds and lens focal lengths for telephoto lenses. However, I am not sure of any for macros. It seems there is a limit as to how fast a shutter one needs with respect to magnification.

Good foundation from which to start with these images.

Thanks for your advice - I think my next purchase will be a macro lens to have a "play" with

Much appreciated you looking in and commenting

My C&C is this...SHOOT THOSE SUCKERS! And I don't mean with a camera. The hopper is very destructive and the spider...well I just hate spiders. ;-) But the pics are great. ;-)

Thanks for your comment Photog8
I'm not a big fan of these guys either but what fun I had today - saw them from a different perspective

Much appreciated you commenting
