That’s what I kind of thought.
I just got tired of paying for something I wasn’t using.
Mine was mostly used when I travelled then Covid hit & stayed home.
So what was the point in paying.
Thanks

I haven’t used my Lightroom subscription for a few years. I’m one of the old original Lightroom 4 desktop owners. Yes I used it lots in the past then got tired of paying each month for something I wasn’t using as much so I cancelled it. I never did go to the cloud went they had split the program for desktop or cloud.
The other day I got an email say I needed to download everything I have within 30days or I won’t have access.
So I guess the question is if I don’t can I still pull up the images?
I could before even though I wasn’t paying each month.

I’ve photographed puffins in Scotland. They are more land birds than air birds. Going out to sea to get fish to bring home. They nest underground so watch where you step.
I found they were probably about 100-200 feet from me.

I can only speak to switching from Nikon to Fuji.
I looked at Sony & at the time it’s wasn’t for me & still isn’t.
Just didn’t like the rendering of the jpegs.

I find most stores will give you 1/4 the original value. They then mark them up to 50% of the original value for re-sale. If your not in a hurry just sell them privately. Make sure you meet in a well lite public place, only accept cash no e-transfers.

I have the Spider. Best piece of equipment I bought. I hate having a camera around my neck.
Hands free is the way to go. And I love the extra security of it, the camera stays & doesn’t come loose.

Been to Paris 3 times never had any trouble. But then I don’t let trouble come.
Tips: Never leave camera on a table at a restaurant always in my lap, someone will grab it fast. Don’t let strap dangle, they can grab it, it’s always around my body. I don’t take it out late at night wandering the streets. If your hotel has a safe it goes in there when I’m not in the room.
Watch out for the gypsies they come in pairs one to distract you one to steal from you.
Tell anyone NO & keep walking don’t engage at all, same for the Somalians around the tourist areas.
Keep your wallet in your front pocket. Pull out money from a pocket not a wallet in public, put aside a few euros that you think you will need in your pocket.
Put your pack sack in front of you on the subway.
And most of all enjoy yourself.

We did one in Sydney a few years back. The whole idea being that part up is to get the wide expanse view of the area. I used my 18-135 & it worked out beautifully.

I can’t stand a strap around my neck. I’ve bumped my camera & lens way too many times.
A while ago I switched to Spider Pro belt system. I’ve adapted it with one of the systems to use with my Herschel Fanny pack. Now i don’t have to carry a backpack either. I just clip the camera on my hip & out I go. It uncoils in a smooth action but doesn’t allow for someone to just whip it off. You have to release it so a thief can’t just do it one handed. I’m a Fuji user so I have the hand strap from them on it. I don’t use Spider Pros hand strap on it. Even though they have great straps, I had one for my Nikon before. I just find for the smaller bodies I didn’t like it.
I tried Cotton Carrier I didn’t like the system.

Even if you have insurance it won’t matter unless you have good medical care.
Chances that you would be flown our on a private medical charter are slim.
Really man do you have to go!
This bug is going to be like this for another year at least until it gets pushed to the back ground.
Sure your trip is one of a lifetime but remember these countries haven’t had access to the vaccine like we have. They struggle everyday so you are at a higher risk of being exposed there than here for sure.

You did an amazing job. You DO have an eye for nature photography.
And your teacher has a huge ego fed by his awards & constant feed back of likes.
Let him be him & you be you. I used to think I will never get a good image.
But who was I taking the photo for, certainly not anyone but myself. That finally sunk in.

Sorry I have to disagree with you. I’m not going to curtail my love of travel because of a problem that might come up. Someone might cause a delay, someone might be unruly, it might rain, it might not meet my expectations. Life is too precious to waste thinking something might go wrong. If we have learned anything after this past year is to LIVE & do it to the fullest. Explore, travel when it’s safe to do so, roam the areas of the world. See what has been created for us. Not let others behaviour dictate our enjoyment.

Sounds like he was lazy. If your going to do photos then do them all. I would never just dump a bunch of them onto a thumb drive & say here you go. All photos get tweaked. And I put them in order of the day starting with the bride getting ready all the way down to the end of the day. When you import the images from the 2nd shooter they don’t always flow with the day. So now what you have to import & do this persons work, oh great. You mid as well have shot the wedding!!
