The holocaust was one of the most terrible things in recorded history, only exceeded by Stalin's murder over more than 10 million of his own countrymen. Why do we not remember this and that the people that approved were and are still there. The probability of Germany ever instigating such an attempt at genocide and murder is non-existent, however we have no satisfaction that this crime could never happen again in Russia.

SBW Rixpix is not a true communist. If you read his entries here, you realize he's a blithering idiot. I mean that in the nicest sense. When he posts something you have to take the first letter of his entry and the last letter of his entry and ignore everything from those two points.
Plus, how can anyone force democracy on someone? It's contradictory. If you force them to choose, they may well choose some other form, so democracy would only last one election. And what a grand German name Wellheim. Is that with a W or a V?

The only difference between an (Army) Medic and a (Navy) Corpsman is their branch of service. Maybe their training. I do not think it makes any difference to a civilian what the difference is. As for the Marines, they are still a part of the Navy. Marines serve on ships as well. I am proud of our Navy and for the Sailors and Marines who serve for our country.

Thank you for your lesson on the Marine Corps, Navy and Navy Corpsmen. Can I assume you were one of those or more?

When my son was in Iraq, he was warned that the desert (the hard surface, not drifting dunes) was as high as 90% fecal matter. Even if that was a 200% exaggeration, the effects of breathing that dust is bound to have effects we may not identify for decades. And we thought Agent Orange was bad!

You've got to remember, breathing fecal material will probably cause lung infections and possibly some sepsis, not mutagenic diseases of both the person sprayed but also their descendants, not to mention various skin diseases, type II diabetes and various maladies the VA refuses to acknowledge.

at 70 I should get a lot of strokes for playing with old equipment but hope aspirin helps stop them. Plus, I don't golf.

Boy, I almost hate to write this but feel it has to be said.
First, John Bradley, the last in the line of MEN, was a hospital corpsman, not a medic. If you don't think that is an important distinction, as any corpsman or Marine.
Secondly, I never met a boy in the Marine Corps or Hospital Corps. We used to say that in combat you went from 18 to 40 in nothing flat.

How about a public re-enactment of the secret at-sea burial of Bin Laden?

How about keel-hauling? Drawing and quartering? Four horse going in four directions?

To anybody that is afraid of a colonoscopy: in late June of 2008 I developed an elevated temp, nausea and no appetite. I was 65 at the time. The doctor diagnosed me with stage 4 colon cancer spreading to the liver. I had 7" removed from my colon, a round of excruciating chemotherapy, followed by removal of 3/4 of my liver with 3 days in ICU. When I got home from that, I was so depleted as the liver rebuilt itself that I had to rest halfway up the stairs to go to the bathroom. I went from 220lbs to 160lbs at which point my oncologist looked me firmly in the eye and said, "eat or die!". Such a way with words! This was followed by another round of chemotherapy, many times worse than the first due to my depleted condition. I was then left with peripheral neuralgia in my feet, somewhat continuous nausea and frequent migraines. November my oncologist will declare me cured. Does this sound more fun than colonoscopy? For your own sake JUST DO IT!
