That is definitely Monserrat Monastery near Barcelona, Spain. I have been there three times and have taken it to the top every time. A beautiful place.

I have a friend who has a son that was raised in church , a very good
guy and quite popular He loved baseball and got a baseball scholarship
last year after graduating. Last October while driving his girlfriends mothers
Mercedez he had a crash. In the vehicle was his girlfriend, her brother and 2 other friends. He and his girlfriend were in the front seats. Her brother and his friend were in back and were ejected and died immediately. The girl in the middle seat was in hospital for awhile fighting for her life. The driver
and his girlfriend both suffered some broken bones but were treated and
released. Although there was no sign of alcohol or drugs related to the crash they did say speed was involved.
Let me just say this has been heart breaking for several families in our area. In the blink of an eye 3 families lives will never be the same.
Basically due to speeding! The driver has always been a polite young man On this night he chose to speed. Perhaps to impress the younger guys in the backseat who had looked up to him. I don't know the reason. I'm unsure if the girlfriends Mother gave him permission to even drive her car. Or if the girlfriend left driving it with her brother. They were all on their way to Carowinds/Scarowinds the night of the crash. In March of this year he was indicted on 2 charges of manslaughter and multiple other charges. While I understand there should be charges because 2 lives are gone it is heart breaking to see how it has affected these families. This young man will never be the same again! My husband taught Drivers education for many years and he believes that these videos do have an impact on young drivers. It makes it more real! So many of them get lost behind video games and tend to not understand what is real life I'm afraid.
Thank goodness nobody else lost their lives due to these guys choices in the video.

I agree that these videos should be shown by capable individuals handling traffic violation schools under a strict controlled environment with a strong message to attendees. However, to show videos like these in youtube is preposterous even if the carry any type of warning sign. There are too many deranged people out there that will see videos like this one that will inspire them to copy these actions.

This video should be taken down. How can they publish such horrendous happening? Videos like this motivates other people that are not on their best state of mind to do the same thing. We are definitely living in a very sick society.

Sounds like just a battle over an attempt to unionize. Serious stuff...IF the allegations are accurate. Al Jazeera is not my choice of sources.

You brought a very good point on the attempt of unionizing BH. Although I don't know to what point is safe to work at BH since I have never visited the back of the store, unions are famous for going to extremes to gain control as far as I can remember.
Perhaps this report has been doctored with individuals trying to discredit BH and force them to negotiate with the union? I has happened many times.

I have bought several things from BH without being pushed down my throat accessories at extra cost from Adorama and others. My experience with unions is that they create a great discontent between employees and management with the ultimate result in driving prices up and consumers paying a high price. Hope things get solved without the unions involved.

Besides taking pics of old cars and tourists places, don't forget to take pictures beyond the facade that they want to show you. Go into the different barrios and capture the way the Cuban people live in misery and despair while the Castro government fill their much dilapidated Central Bank safe with our American dollars.
Oh... and don't forget the Cohibas but make sure that they are real.
Have fun while thousands of political prisoners are behind bars just because they want the freedom that they have been deprived.

I have been on the board for a while, mostly on the "Chit Chat" forum, but I finally have a question for the photographers.

I just bought a D7100 bundle for around $1600. 18-140 zoom, and 55-300 zoom, and some accessories included.

I am 62 and grew up with a dark room as a kid, so I know the difference between F stops and depth of field, ISO (used to be DIN in film,) etc., etc.

What I need are some suggestions for books on how to use the D7100. I have watched a number of YouTube videos, which are fine, but I want something I can grab and go to if I need some clarification.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

First of all, congratulations on your new purchase. I purchased a D7100 when they came out and took it with me a week later on a trip to Europe. I am so glad I did!!!
I purchased the book called Mastering the Nikon D7100 by Darrell Young. The publisher is Rocky Nook. This is a very down to earth book where you can really get a lot information on how to use this great camera as opposed to others where you get lost on technical matters. Best way and less costly to acquire it is through Amazon.com

Good luck and enjoy!!

Does it make a difference to do a 5 bracket sequence with +/-1 EV adjustments or 3 bracket with +/-2 EV.

I have done as many as 11 bracket at +/- .7 EV.

Wondering at what point are you simply spinning the wheels to see them turn.

Willie

In my experience, I usually do 5 +/-1 EV with high contrast scenes and 3 +/-1EV less contrast scenes. So far, I have been very pleased with results.
