A very pleasant change to the unfortunately largely hum drum repetition on here. This works so well in B&W and I like the fact she is not looking at the camera. It looks so much more natural this way and would appear rather contrived if she were facing the camera, given her obvious ethnicity. The slight vignette adds measurably to the mood and the reasonably tight crop (upper torso) draws you to the obvious focal point, the hair. Really good study, this one, and nicely focused.
Thank you Paul, Interesting what you say as I haven't looked at U/H for a couple of years mainly because of what you say about the hum drum, maybe I will submit a few photo's as my style has changed and am doing my best to do photo's a little different.....
Just scrolling through the archives, wasn't planning on commenting on any, but love that B&W image, the necklaces, the hair, the pose, and holy cow is that woman attractive.
Glad to see your post. We were concerned about your safety with the volcano. As always, you capture the beauty of the locals. Thank you for allowing me to see your work.
My pleasure pleased you enjoyed photo's...All Ok with volcano lot of ash & rumblings, the real danger zone is a 12klm radios my villa is about 30klms from Mt Agung...Thanks for you interest....
