Thank you all for your input. I have realized some of my mistakes thanks to you all. I don't think I'll leave the camera unattended nor any equipment setting around. The space she assigned me is beside the bar and she's wanting fun & crazy pictures so looks like I'll have to watch extra close as the night progresses. Will have to assign some of other family members some time on duty also, though I think if it goes as supposed to I would like to see photos being made. I have looked at the videos on you tube, thanks, the booth that he made looked way too tight to work for me, will probably stick with umbrellas. Will
surely get plenty of batteries and maybe, depending on where we set up not use the strobes at all and use studio lights. Pretty new to photography and this just shows how much I have to learn sooo much thank you all again. Wedding is the 18th and I will let you all know how it went, if I survive.
Just kidding I'll have fun one way or other, R might not feel that good, but then she knows me. Thanks to all. Dennis

I have been tasked to get pictures of wedding guests, to be used as the guest book and then later to be posted to web site. My idea is to set up a backdrop which has a pattern of bride,s choosing. Then use two umbrellas with flash units in them, with a remote shutter release. My equipment is Nikon d600, 1 sb600 & 1 sb700 flash units, Nikon remote shutter button. I guess my question is this possible, as I would rather not spend the night behind the camera. The wedding photographer is going to be busy getting shots of reception. Yes the bride is one of my favorite daughters. Thanks for any help or comments that you may have.
