Last three photos. I have seen black squirrels in Canada and USA - but as far as I know there are none here.
As a veterinarian (retired)I occasionally had to treat an injured squirrel and oh boy - can they bite !

I love squirrels - we have 2 main trypes in scotland - the ubiquitous greys (technically vermin and carriers of disease to red squirrels) red squirrels - only in certtain areas in Scotland - but smaller and nicer ! and locally qwe have a strain of albino ones - good to photograph. I've not seen them for a couple of years now !

3 more pics to follow - I would be happy taking photos all day !

Tip for pet photos - always try to focus on the eyes. It may be fuzzzy is you focus on eyes and for instance dog has long nose - so eyes may be Ok but nose etc fuzzy ! Pets are always best if bright but NOT brilliant sun.

Hi folks.
I don't approve of zoos but this was taken a few years ago by me at a Scottish zoo which shall be nameless - and I was really quite pleased with it at the time.
Tiger with paw on log - so I a called it - yes -
Tiger Woods.

Not bad considering it was taken through very thick (I hope) glass.

Hi
He's a CAVALIER King Charles Spaniel(colour Blenheim) I've had Cavaliers since 1963 (not the same one!) and saw lots in my work as a veterinarian too. They come in four colours, Blenheim, tricolour(Black tan and white) Ruby(rich chestnut red all over and Black and Tan. They are a bit larger than the English toy spaniel known as the King Charles and have longer noses ! They are great affectionate lively family dogs and are usually a dream to photograph. I don't usually dress them up - that was just a fun photo !
Thanks for asking

As a veterinarian (now happily retired) I took photos of most of my patients as pups and 45 years of experience helps. Try to get a room as light as possible.(even with room lights on if necessary) NO flash - never flash with pups.
Try to get pup tired out ! NOT easy ! If all else fails - put puppy on something high - make sure it won't jump off - and take photos. Generally speaking they will sit still if up on something high.
Always always trry to get to level of pups eyes if you can. Expect to take 40 pics to get 1 good one ! If you have a table - put a towel or blanket on it - near a window and possibly get somweone to stand outside the window and get pups attention ! This little chap was my own - so easier.
Best of luck
Pat

I buy blank calendars with spaces for photos for each month and stick in photos (double sided tape)as applicable to family members/friends etc. Cheap and easy and can make very personal.

I've taken a fair few of my Grandsons when they were tiny - and my favourite is one of my grandsons tiny fingers clutching hold of his Dad's index finger - so don't forget little hands and feet - perhaps with something for comparison. Towelling - white or pale blue works well as background
