I'm not a fan of the glock either. More so the manufacturer. IMHO, too much hype & "glock perfection" is a lie.
To some degree, the company is selling a lifestyle, just like apple.
Personally, I'd never buy one. Nevertheless, a gun is a gun and I won't refuse if I got one as a gift or hesitate to have it a carry.

I was hoping you’d say what brand and why. Thx.

Don’t go on the hog much. A friend in the Birmington area ask about pics I’ve seen in the West Midlands. I thought about Jim and got this horrible news. Prayers and good wishes for a speedy recovery.

Great set! Pure Americana! As fast food restaurants close down because people are rejecting their overcharging for tasteless food, let's hope places like this continue to thrive.

You are being kind calling it ‘food’.

Whenever I get a new lens the first thing I do is shoot a series of images to learn and compare the specific characteristics of that lens. I have bought some inexpensive lenses and some expensive lenses. From my testing I can confirm the more expensive lenses have demonstrated better sharpness at wider f-stops but in general my lenses produced best sharpness at f 5.6. My favorite lens was my used Canon 70-200 L f 2.8 which demonstrated identical tack sharpness from f 2.8 up to f 16.

Glad to read last sentence. I’ve been saving up for a version ll. Maybe be I should get the version l. I have the original 100-400 but sometimes wish I had a 70-200 and a coupler instead. Oh well. Merry and a Happy.

Got a used R with 2200 clicks for $1020 from Roberts (well respected good guys).

Why I even considered an RP was the $600 Canon USA refurbs sale. At its RMP of $1000 the RP is an OK camera but I would put that $1000 toward a better model. $600 ? That was a very different game. Whatever the RP delivers is easily quite worth it at that price !

I have a full set of EF lenses with OIS so the lack of IBIS has been OK. I went the extra $50 for the control ring version of the adapter. That proved verrrry worth it.

I see the blind man say. I buy from Roberts/Used Photo Pro too..Good people to deal with. MPB, Keh, B & H and Adorama are all in the same class IMHO.

O my, ID that is not good on the part off Canon. Never had any issues with them but they should done the good PR thing and filled your order. How is the R? I just looked. The R refubished is $1619.00. The R 6 is out of stock at $1799.00.
Upon reading your post again, did you get the R for $200 or so more then the RP?
So $1100. Now it's $1619???

Good move ID getting the control ring version. I am pretty sure I posted 2 days ago. Guess I forgot to send. I recall mentioning that the refurb RP is now $899. It will probably drop again.
Happy shooting..

Thanks for your reply. I didn’t buy the set mentioned. Will stick with 80D for now. You have some nice lens which are more important than bodies. Happy shooting.

Happy Father’s Day to all. Now go breakfast for your wife LOL.

The RP is $599 at the refurb store. I'm tempted. The lens adapter is $79 if memory serves.
