There is a known issue in Win 10 where the start button stops working. There are also numerous "solutions" on the Internet for this problem. None worked for me when my start button stopped working. I finally downloaded Classic Shell and everything is now fine.
Close the window with ALT-F4.

You get the same story with Dell. Friend ordered new Dell 8900, I did the setup. It was faulty from the beginning, continually rebooting itself as were trying to set it up. Took 9 weeks and many phone calls to Dell and to their "local contractor" before it was fixed. They finally gave up and mailed him a new machine.
For Canon, the EOS Utility (on the disk that comes with your camera) supports tethering with remote live view control of focus, shutter, aperture , ISO and other functions.
There are several free and cheap programs that support live view tethering for Nikon.
LightRoom will only show you the picture after you shoot and it automatically imports.
I have done this for a local artist so he could put this work on Fine Art America. It is not hard and does not have to be done with specialized lighting.
If you do not have the fancy light equipment, you can get very good reproductions by setting up in an area where the light is soft and no glare.
Put the camera on a tripod and shoot with longer shutter speeds to make up for lack of bright lights.
As said above, use a good lens, square to the image to prevent distortion, and shoot the first shot of every piece with a gray card in the field. Use the grey card to get the white balance right in post-processing.
Remove glass from framed pictures to prevent glare.
Most of the inexpensive ring flashes are a manual on/off light (not a "flash") and have low output. I have one of the $30 versions. It is two weak to do much, certainly could not use it as a macro-flash .
I sometimes convert a file to PNG when building a newsletter, brochure, etc, because PNG will support a transparent background. JPEG fill a transparent background with white. When inserted in to a documet, JPEG will show as a white box around the image.

There is a fake Flash Update pop-up virus. Pops up a box saying you need to install or update Flash. If you close the pop-up box, you can usually move on. Try that. If you do have the pop-up virus, Google "flash pop-up virus" to learn how to get rid of it.
