Nice shot-----but not my thing. AL
You sunrisers are awesome. I'm lazy; I shoot sunsets--just after the golden hour. Alyn
Like your posies. Wife is big in flowers. Some of my pix are good--some are awful--some are good'n awful...
Recent BIG SURPISE: Maine is a great place to shoot flowers, too !!! Tennessee ain't too bad either. Alyn
One word: OLYMPUS---SH 2.; 5-axis Stabilization, 24X zoom, Light weight, pocketable, a plethora of options. Alyn
NICE SHOT...great for a teaching session. Next shot , show her in action. alyn.
Ladies and Gentlemen and camera nuts:
Let me mediate your controversy: I am an avid OLYMPUS nut. I use 4 of them. (ChEEEEp ones.) I will put my prints up against anyone. Sure, I will lose some--but I will also WIN some. My current favorite is the SH-1 pocketable, with 24X optical zoom. Its a wonder!!!
Recently spent a week in Maine; shot 700 pix,,,damn near every one a keeper!!! Even put one in our local Library.

I used to think the same thing, but my friend assured me that repair shops have gone the way of the blacksmithy.
I am 86 years old and don't move very well. I live (with my 80 year old spouse) close to Indianapolis. Time was when if I needed to go to New York or California, I just went, but no more. Alyn
YES. My old computer is so screwed up, I am never certain if my questions go anywhere.
Sorry if I confused you. Thanks for checking ! al
Before you BUY big name cameras---see OLYMPUS and BUY OLYMPUS ! BEST OF ALL.

I have a "sick" camera; prefer not to send it back to the company and wait a month or more to have it serviced. Is there ANY LOCAL SERVICE SHOPS IN CENTRAL INDIANA--near Indianapolis ? I was told by the owner, that he was THE LAST independent repair shop anywhere--so far as he knew.
.…..HELP !!!!

Does ANYONE know of a camera repair service in central Indiana??? So far as I know, the last shop closed 3-4 months ago.??? Alyn McConnaha (alyn@mymetronet.net)
SOME ONE---or several some ones-- should take immediate action to stop what's going on!!! Can we contact our legislatures and/or our conservation groups to SAVE THE PHEASANTS.?! A.
Glad you still have SOME. Can you pull some strings and have them declared "THE STATE BIRD and protected by state law??? Institute a "catch and release resettlement plan" Perhaps you could loan us dumbutt Hoosiers a few seed stock to get us going again. A.
Sad, but true !Used to hunt'em every Thanksgiving; now--nothing!!!! Quail the same way. Turkeys, too
Shooting wildlife ? Try adjusting in camera, because you likely wont have time in camera. On the other hand, if you are shooting wild flowers, go inside and try your computer program. I use an OLYMPUS and often let the camera do its thing. (It is way smarter than I.)
