Funny!

Here's a few facts you all may not know: While Hostess was trying to cut baker's pay by 8% and benefits by 32%, their CEO gave himself a 300% raise. Nine Hostess executives received 60% to over 100% raises, while filing for their 2nd bankruptcy. Meanwhile, they stopped paying into their employees' pension, owing them over $160,000,000.
Still want to blame the union? Corporate greed, as usual, sunk their company.....
My DDIL sent me some information about this lens, which lets you turn your telephoto zoom lens into a macro lens (for about 1/4 the price). You can get a version for Nikon lenses. Anyone know anything about it? (I have a Nikon D3100)
If her lips are *that* pretty; she must be a gorgeous woman. Nice pic! I think it is a very sweet picture.
I'm just a rank amatuer (still learning my camera) but I really feel drawn to landscapes and nature (flowers, plants, etc). Bugs, birds, don't draw me (at least not yet). Still thinking about people photos, but not ready to delve into that yet. Di in TN
Hi from another Tennessean. I'm not too far from you - Winchester (south of N'ville). I'm just starting out too, but learning a lot from UHH. - Diane
Thank you! You're all so encouraging. Of course, there are some shots I'd just as soon not show! :) I've narrowed down my next lens purchases to probably a 55-200 VR, 50mm, and a macro lens. Any suggestions as to macro or my next choices?
Here are some beginner pics. Hope to get better the more I use the D3100 and the more I read.....
DDIL - Dear Daughter In Law
Love to take pics of landscapes, closeups of floral, pics of family. Just a hobby; don't plan on making money. There is a photo club in my town and I'll be calling to attend the next meeting. I collect vintage sewing machines (and actually use them), so good pics of my collection is a must. Just plan on going out and shooting pics of anything that strikes my fancy - using different settings to see how they look.
I've only used the small point-n-shoot prior to buying this DSLR. So - just beginning. My DDIL is here visiting and I've been playing with various settings and already learning lots. Between her and the book "Digital Photograhy for Beginners", I'm learning more and having such fun! I may venture to post a pic or two. :)
I just bought a Nikon D3100 and have already learned a bit from my DDIL, who owns a D5100. I plan on enrolling in Nikon school (in "nearby" Atlanta, Ga) - or is it really worth the money to do so? Looking forward to learning lots here. Di in TN
