We done this type of print all the time, using high end flatbed printer. I know your photo come in RGB color mode, but in the the print it must be CMYK, therefore convert it to CMYK mode 300 dpi tif or jpg will be fine.
We are in ontario, Canada www.output123.com or email us sales@output123.com
thanks.

I know what you mean too, just the feel and touch and I know it is a different animal. I am now waiting to see the new nikon p1000, I know the sensor is small but the super zoom is very interesting, I want to see how good it can handle the low light. especially I want to see if they can do slow motion like what the sony did.
Do you know of any other mirrorless that is around 1000-1300 that is good for travel, with zoom, 4k video, get the picture out of the 4k etc?
thanks.

sorry for that,
it is the sony SLT a99ii, full frame, but one of the review said the video has to be in auto mode to get auto focus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDcmZ6QKj04
but other than that is a very body to compete again nikon and canon.

Quote with reply so everyone else will know what is the exact one you used. I'm going to assume the a99.

I did try one sony camera few week ago, i know it is a sony but i forget the model number, the person that own it say it has 2 sensors to get is so fast. one for the light and the other for the focus. anyone know what is this model. the look is similar to the alpha series but it might be few years older. but the EVF is very good and the respond time is a lot better than my D5100 nikon.
thanks.

I saw it last week, when I am looking at the Sony a6000 with a zoom lens. and he show me this I find it very interesting but I don't like it is so big in size, if I only want something like my sigma 28-250 for nikon 5100,
prefer something EVF, zoom, flash light, good for low light condition and reasonable size for travel, what is my choice? any suggestion
thanks.

it is just too big, I want something like olympus, fuji or sony type of smaller, and lighter digital camera for travel, especially street photo. I don't mind it is 1 or 3 yrs old model, as long as it is a solid build with nice zoom lens and good electronic for long battery life. my budget is around 400 to 700. is that some good one within this price range in ebay or some reliable source.
thanks.

I just get a 65" 4k tv, Haier from costco, it was great to watch the photos on the screen.
I did use kodi app and picture program to view the photos but I see the banding on the blue sky.
change to USB to load the photos directly use the build in photo viewer then everything is nice and good.
that mean the TV itself is good, but the app to control the photos is very critical.
I would like to know is there any good android app that is easy to load the photos from the sd card, good fade in/out on the slide show, has music option etc. know how to rotate the photos by itself too.
please suggest
thanks.

google photos I am not using it as a backup, for me is a dual function, first of all, all my iphone photos upload to it auto, I don't need to worry about it, and it will create album that group the event together. on the other hand I upload 20 yrs of old photos that I don't have time to edit all of them but once in a blue moon I will download few good one, edit it in lightroom or photoshop and then upload again with different files names.
and this storage so far is unlimited.
but you know the build in edit function in google photos is more or less basic, I do want to have something that can edit directly from the cloub, without download and upload.
I hope this type of tool exist, since more and more photos are save in the cloub.

Actually, from a computer science background, if you are using Google for back up, you don't want to edit files that are stored there. Those are for back up.

I know what you mean, but since time machine is such as automated process, therefore i just let it do as one more insurance on my side, especially the HD are so cheap this date.
actually i have the question on the workflow on lightroom about the export,
I usually create a folder call export and let all the export go into it and then upload to my google photos (I know it is unlimited) I treat it as my lifelong backup.
and after a while, I will delete all those export.
My question is since those export are jpg and not so big, did you guy will use lightroom to import them and name it to different folder or what is the best way most people use for export photos?
thanks

I use different approch,
I have mac and I use copy cloner, to image the HD, it is very fast, since it will find whatever is change and just copy those, and I also use another disk as time machine.
this case if there is system failure, I just use the clone disk and build the new image again,
if the error is just some file missing, I use the time machine to get the photos back.
so far so good.
thanks.

I regularly back up my Lightroom catalog, as well as my photos. Many people mistakenly think their photos are contained in their catalog. They're not.

I've long been aware that to fully back up my work within Lightroom, there's more to it than that. But, doing so is complicated and time consuming.

According to Victoria Bampton (the "Lightroom Queen"), you should back up the following:
- Photos
- Catalog
- Previews
- Catalog Backups
- Presets and Templates
- Settings Shared with Camera Raw - Default Settings, Point Curves, Custom Camera and Lens Profiles
- Lightroom Serial Number
- Preferences

In her book, "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC/6 - The Missing FAQ," she also mentions:
- Mobile uploads
- Startup Preferences

I've been operating under the theory that, since I've backed up the photos and Catalog and have the serial number written down, I could re-create the rest. That's probably slightly self-delusional.

Here's a link to Victoria's article on the topic, which tells where you can find this stuff on your computer:
http://www.lightroomqueen.com/backup-lightroom-files/

Obviously, an alternative approach would be to back up your entire system.

So, some questions occur to me that I'd like my fellow Hoggers to address:
1) Have you had to restore your work using only the catalog and the photos? How'd that go?
2) How many of you back up everything Victoria suggests?
3) Has anybody used the backup utility plug-in by Matt Dawson that Victoria mentioned? If so, how do you like it?
I regularly back up my Lightroom catalog, as well ... (show quote)
