Thank you! I knew posting here would be a good idea. I have always received nothing but positive words, even when it's been constructive criticism, for the members of this site!
I've moved my camera back into my car where I used to keep it always (instead of the top of my closet). I took it out last night and snapped a few shots of a lovely sunset. Now to get them off the card and on my computer...or at least look to see what I got! I took up running in February but do that mostly at night now. We FINALLY finished our house in September, which was 3 years in the making. So I am hoping I get that "want to" back soon! My husband and I are taking an "exploration" vacation, the kind with no destination in mind, in February. So that should help too.
I have been on hiatus since March...I just didn't feel it, you know. It was so bad, I still had a few pictures on it from March that I never even pulled from the card. I finally got my camera out (yes for the first time) the end of November and more out of "duty" than anything. I took it on our family vacation to the mountains. There were tons of awesome shots available but I finally dug it out of my bag the last morning of our 5 day vacation. We woke up to snow covering everything, something 2 of my girls have never seen (and weren't interested in)! So here is the first picture I have taken in 8 months (straight out of the camera and in b&w with a crop).
all of them have at least 28 days...
I have the D3100 also, I got the Tamron 18-200.
Ha! I'm sure that was a big part of it but he bought a shotgun!
I have a double model diva birthday party lined up tomorrow for my 2 oldest girls...my new lens is going to get broken in tomorrow!
Yesterday my hubby had to confess, he ordered me a Tamron AF 18 - 200mm lens and it came in today! So of course I had to take off to the park during lunch and check it out!
Now to figure out what he bought himself to make him feel like he needed to do that for me....

Cajon,
Go to the shoot and see how the photographer is handeling it. You can learn alot. Take your camera and see what it can do under the circumstances. You may be surprised what you and the camers can do.
Not a bad idea. If I am free at that time I believe I will go and check it out. Thanks for the idea.
Try to go and see if you can locate the photographer before hand and offer to shoot back-up for free just for the experience!
I like your version (the second attempt) better than the original! Nice job
Thank you CD731, they are a blessing that's for sure!
phOtObug, that is a fabulous idea! Thanks!
