I AM LOOKING FOR A BACKPACK WHICH WILL HOLD A D800 NIKON AND ITS ASSOCIATED LENSES WHICH ARE THE FOLLOWING:
200-400 F4, 70-200 F2.8, 24-70 F2.8 AND 14-24 F2.8.

DOES A CASE LIKE THIS EXIST AND IS IT NOT TOO CLUMSY?

I HAVE A CASE WHICH WILL HOLD THE 200-400 AND 70-200 WITH THE SMALLER LENSES (18-70 AND 12-24) AND A D7000 CAMERA (2/3 INCH FORMAT).

THE 1 INCH FORMAT LENSES AND CAMERA ARE TOO BIG (ESPECIALLY IN WIDTH). ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR A BACKPACK OR ANYTHING ELSE?

THANK YOU,

I can highly recommend the Gimbel Wimberley mounting for long lenses. It makes a 600mm f4 as simple as moving a feather.
If you use this mount, be sure to place screws at either end of the mount to keep the lens from sliding out.

I have a 500mm F5.0 Nikon (not the F8). As a manual lens it takes time to focus. My pictures have been quite acceptable with a first and third place show award on the few pictures I have submitted. It's a good lens.

I have since bought a 200-400 F$Nikon and most recently a 600mm F$ Nikon. They are better and not in the same ballpark price wise. (See what happens when you leave the capital on the number 4 key).
