OK, the Skull won Artist on the Avenue ($100 prize), sleeping beauty nothing but I did have another entry that took a $50 second prize.

Always looking to improve - it never hurts to get a second (or third) opinion.

Well personally a little disappointed, I was expecting something from star trek.
The good work did make lessen my the hurt.
Nice Job.

Both nice shoots but I think I prefer the color one a bit more.

You really are going to hate me but, they are ok average shots.

In the first the hair is untidy, the "dreamy" effect is so so but too ott with colour and the hair highlight pulls your eye away from the face.

In the second the lighting and focus ate fine, but it lacks real interest.

Good start though.

OK, don't hate you - The color is due to the stage lighting - (supposed to be a "dream"). I did tone down the highlights - a lot -.
The second already won a first prize ($100) so this is the second time I'll be showing it.

OK, here's a couple of photographs that I'm entering into "Capture the Light".
Sleeping Beauty is an available light shot done for the Eagle Theatre (promo photo).
Skull is a close up (also available light) of a window display.
Both were done up as 16x20's for the show.

I recently purchased a used Kodak 6850 printer. I downloaded the MAC software but still can't figure out how to make a print with this thing.
Anyone have some experience with this that can help out?

Thanks,

You can pick up used lenses (especially kit lenses) for under $200 used.
Try craigs list and e-bay.

I have an older iMac. Love it. I love the large screen and I like a full size keyboard. I'm hoping to upgrade to a new one soon.

I don't have a laptop yet and looked into the new retina display Macs. They started at $2500. I ended up ordering a Dell 17" off QVC the other night for @ $650. It comes with Elements 10 installed. The selling point was 4 years of "American" 24/7 tech support. It will do for travel and downloading photos while out of town.

I switched from a Dell to a MAC - their service has gone downhill. I switched to Dell because of the good service and it was the best in the industry for maybe 10 years. Now - they just don't care once they get your money (my personal experience). If I have a problem with my MAC I drive down to the local Apple store and it's taken care of.
