The two-party system we have leaves us in a bind. Politicians of both parties are bought and sold by the rich and big business and no longer represent "we the people". Neither really care about our constitution. Bush trashed it in many ways, and Obama has carried on that tradition. Neither party is willing to control the budget. The GOP talks about it but merely wants to reduce "entitlement" spending but continue the bloated military budget. It is all killing us. We are headed towards financial ruin and collapse just like the Soviet Union as they tried to keep pace with the Reagan military budget. I want to start a third party I would call the "Conservative Green Party". No contradiction - conservatism should be all about protecting our environment for the future. A balanced budget amendment would be imperative. A relatively flat income tax with maybe five categories of deductions. Result - everyone pays something and the tax form is one page. FISCAL conservatism - but Americans do not want the social conservatism of the current GOP. The government needs to stay out of our private lives. The current GOP claims to want a smaller government but wants the government to tell you who to love and what to do with your body. Most Americans are more Libertarian than that. Neither party has any common sense.

What if Zimmerman had remained in his vehicle instead of disobeying the instructions of the police dispatcher?

If one instigates a confrontation then "Stand Your Ground" should not apply.

Zimmerman wrongly profiled an innocent child. Zimmerman started the confrontation. The defenseless child tried to defend himself against a man with a gun. The man way out weighed the child. Zimmerman got away with murder.

The prosecution failed in presenting their case. The jury took the easy way out after all it was only another black life which is far too often devalued in our society.

Zimmerman's life is not worth a plug nickel. It would be best if he is not killed rather he should have his neck broken just below C5 so he would spend the rest of his life as a quadriplegic in a wheel chair attended by a black nurse.

If you remember, you were at the time making short snippy remarks, about us folks here in the south. I have lived in Puerto Rico, and traveled SA, married a Venezuelan beauty, I am not so close minded or uneducated to believe that all immigrants here are undocumented. What prompted that comment was the antagonistic nature of some of your previous comments, and then the fact that in one of your posts you had said that you probably have more rights than some of us.... In my sarcastic reply I was affirming that sometimes we here feel that those that come here illegally do have more rights than natural citizens because some governmental agencies go out of their way to not prosecute them for various classes of legal infractions. I was intentionally being an AH because there were only insults going back and forth, but I have also lived in very rural southern settings and life down here is not all that it may seem to our neighbors up north.
