A friends first Barramundi

The largest two of these Whiting weighed 1lb-1oz and measured 13inches in length

This snook was an unlucky catch as he was fishing for much larger prey.

I feel so sorry for you Catalint, no girls in your area ?.

As much as I enjoy pictures of great specimens, I prefer to see pictures where they are not harmed, and since I am a passionate angler I do C&R all the time. The best feeling I can have after catching a fine specimen, is the release. Some people fish for sport, some for food, either way pictures should be taken without the horror and gore.

Looking back at my fishing time and photos, I think I have more pictures of me kissing fish than kissing girls :D

I would think you are correct, i am but the photographer but you must realise the guys lady friend was Asian, a staple diet, i do not intend to make excuses for her, nor blame her, a lot of us in Australia eat Kangaroo, whats the difference, a lot of people around the world adore them, come and see the damage they do, for the case of killed sole for the fin, there is a huge amount of flesh on these fish and you do not know what you have until you land it, the majority of big fish take the hooks right down and would die anyway after removal, they are generally caught at night, so you do not know what you have until beached, take your angst out on the fisher person, NOT the photographer, thank you.

Not only that but the Ray has it's dorsal fin removed. I am not a tree hugger but I wouldn't post pictures like that on the internet without an explanation. It seems to indicate to me the fish was kept for its dorsal fin I would guess to make soup with. I can't think of any other reason. Without an explanation it leads the reader (me) to think this majestic fish was killed solely for its fin.
