We came across this big coyote on our hike in Briones Regional Park yesterday. He was the size of a large German Shepard. I was glad that I had Nicki, my dog, on leash. It would not be good if they tangled. I frequently see coyotes up there he was the largest so far. There are lots of ground squirrels and other small critters for them to feed off of, and no hunting.

Even on a leash they are banned except for the parking lot areas. Don't get me going about California's nanny legislature.

That is as much as it shot. When I posted to Facebook the black area was gone. This is a new technique for me. Next time I will know to crop off the black section if there is one.

I hike the hills around home with my dog Nicki. I have not hiked Mt. Diablo as it is a no dogs allowed state park and I can't go hiking without Nicki. Shot with my Nikon p500 in panorama mode.

Both are very good shots. Number 2 is a stronger composition. It has more depth with the hay bales and the cabin.
