Would you use Exposure Compensation in some cases over ISO settings?

Absolutely! Quality of photos is better.

I am, also, a Mac user (iMac), and I purchased Luminar and like it very much. I highly recommend it. It can do everything from the most modest edit to the most complex. You work at your own level and grow as you gain experience.

If you use Photos, you can, also, open it directly in Photos and edit those pictures right there.Really great!

Buy it without hesitation.

Trust me on this, John, this is Portland Head Light. If you have a photo of a different lighthouse, then it is not Portland Head Light. I referenced Cape Elizabeth because Portland Head Light is in Fort Williams Park which is in Cape Elizabeth, ME. You might have noticed that I live in, oh, I don't know, Portland, Maine.

Rob, I do trust you. I have been a frequent visitor to Portland Head and have photographed it dozens of times and have been all over the site. (But never in winter). I can't figure where you were standing when you took this picture. I readily agree that the top of the light looks like Portland Head, but I am puzzled by the view.

It, a great shot.

This is a nice photo, but I do not believe this is a photo of Portland Head Light. I have many pictures of Portland Head, and the site is far different from what your photo shows.

I note that in the upper corner of the photo it says "Cape Elizabeth". There is a Cape Elizabeth light in Maine. Could this be a photo of that light that you sent by mistake?

You stated that you are a newbie. My advise is to stay away from filters until you are proficient with your new camera. Learn what you are doing; learn the capabilities of your camera.

When you are confident in handling your camera and able to take well exposed photos without difficulty, you can go to the next step with certainty.

I bought Luminar to use internally with Photos. I think it is terrific. It can do so many things so easily.
If you want an enhancement or quick correction, it can be done quickly.

I think some of those who have not been impressed with it have not looked beneath the surface. If you read some of the tutorials, you will soon see that it is loaded with features to make any kind of an adjustment you wish.

There is a new answer that is terrific. A new photo editing software called "Luminar" was recently released. It has been receiving great reviews. Here's the great part. You can open it inside Photos and edit your photo from the simplest change to the most extreme. It has every kind of corrective tool you can imagine as well as presets you can apply to your photo. It's presently being offered at an introductory discount price

I purchased Luminar and am thrilled with it. I, now, use it in Photos as my standard editing software. You will be amazed at what it can do right from Day 1. As far as a learning curve goes, you can go as far as you want. It was designed for the beginner to the pro.

Check it out, look at some of their tutorials, and see if this impresses you.

Avery has full page unsized stock in clear and white, and there are, of course, scissors.

I do not need stock; I have that as I clearly pointed out. I need software that can be adapted to
the StickerPix size and layout.

Thanks to letmedance and Mogul for your suggestion.

My problem is based on the fact that with StickerPix, the 9 photo stickers are on a
4 x 6 inch sheet, not a letter size as in Avery. Furthermore, the stickers do not join
each other, there are spaces between each one which does not allow me to print
them on an Avery layout.

I guess I'll just have to toss them.

I am a long time Mac user, and some years ago, I had program that created photo stickers. It was called "StickerPix" and was produced by a software company called
XLsoft International. This company still exists and offers a large number of, both, Mac and Windows software programs. They have, however, discontinued StickerPix and no longer support it.

Are any of you Mac users familiar with this program? You may have used it! They sold packages of photo sticker sheets which had 9 stickers on each sheet of high quality glossy stock. A few days ago I found a dozen packages of these stickers'

Is anyone aware of a sticker printing program. currently available, that allows custom settings for label sheets and label sizes that I can use for printing these stickers?

Thanks for any info,

I really like this shot. The timing of it, and the resulting detail, made this an outstanding photograph.

If you are willing, I would like to see the download version. I want to examine the fine detail which I believe must be fabulous.
