....and I, docrob, love yours! Thanks for the insight (no pun intended)- that may be why I love the "grainy b+w" art scene selection on my Olympus so much. Have a great one, will ya?
Hey Docrob-
Just started posting a few days ago, and actually have 2 b+w's in the gallery entitled "black and white in Siena, Italy"- I favor b+w slightly.
Your comment about more texture has piqued my interest, and, not to sound like a moron- what exactly do you mean?
Thanks,
Kurt

Stumbled onto this website over the weekend, and had a great time ogling everyone's images! I'm a photo enthusiast or hobbyist, and anxious to get advice/critique/ help with my stuff. I'm VERY color blind, so I tend to be heavy-handed with saturation. I also just started dabbling in HDR, and, like my talk-box in my guitar rig, will tend to overuse it until people start shouting "enough!"
took this a few years ago at a Civil War re-enactment in PA; processed in HDR as single image

For some reason, I couldn't post to the "introduce yourself" folder, so I'll try here. I'm a "photo-hobbyist," so I'm looking for any and all feedback. I am REALLY color blind, so I tend to oversaturate my images. I also recently went to a HDR seminar, and, I promise, I'll try to control the HDR beast in me!
