This is Andrea, Jays Daughter. Jay 9Anglecamp) has passed away and I am going thru stuff and closing stuff out. I found this fourm he is on and thought I would pass on the information to his fourm pals.

Welcome, I also like #3 - I don't know how many times I stood on that same bridge and have taken that photo. It's easy for me since I only live 2 hours away.

I haven't had much interest in Auto ISO and have just ignored it up until now. Several posts on UHH have also indicated it was something to be avoided, but a recent article in Outdoor Photographer gave some suggestions for when it might be useful for photographers having any level of experience, not just "newbies."
http://www.outdoorphotographer.com/columns/tech-tips/deep-focus.html?start=2If anyone has other thoughts to add, I'd also be interested.
It seems as if most folks on uhh think that anything "auto' is BAD. That is not the case with many of the Auto features on the newer cameras.
I got the 85mm f1.8G since I shoot a lot of portraits.
Thanks for the wonderful links - my older brother piloted a B-17 in the 8th AF. Had 52 missions.
I was fortunate to fly in a B-17 while I was at air conjtrol/air intercept school at NAS Glenview, IL during the Korean conflict.

After only a 4-month wait.
Congratulations!!!! I foresee many wonderful photos being posted here!!!
This thread is useless without pictures!
See if the photo comes up.
I didn't buy it to do video - I have a vieo camera for that and It' my wife's favorite media - she tells me it's a girly thing.
It was a long wait, but I've gotta hand it to Audorama, they did't even give me a head's up that it had been shipped. When I answered the door bell, the UPS man said he didn't understand the shipment, one box required a signature and the other one didn't. I saw Audorama written all over the boxes and right away, I was dancing - the camera needed the signature but the lens didn't.
Before you think I'm one of the 1%, let me tell you that I received a very large retroactive medical disability check from the VA and I wanted a full frame camera.

Expect to see some great pics of the Jumping Frog Jubilee
That's not until the next 3rd weekend in May 2013.
I was taught to take a bunch of photos always, because film was cheap - to take a bunch of photos is even cheaper with digital. I would think 10 keepers out of 100 shots is pretty darn close.
Thanbk you for the wonderful photos - from a living vet.
Hi Kendra,
Welcome, I live in Angels Camp and love the foothills.
