One question here. If it was so HOT that day, why is the bystander wearing a jacket?

I think these are family photos.

I think #1 is too hot..I realize what you were going for and IMHO it doesn't work that well.

The angle on #2 includes the houses and fence in the background...it doesn't add to the shot...I'd have gotten lower to eliminate that stuff.

#3 is good but there is quite a hot spot on Dads face.

Ya if these where photos i had done for work i wouldn't use them although i would use the first one as i dont see where its to hot..? I turned up the contrast and saturation very very little and removed the noise and thats all i did for editing .. I personally LOVE the green of the background as my son was standing on the grass and he was very fair skin toned at that time so he looked really white

#2 Was just a random shot of my husband and son thats why you can see the houses and such and number 3 .. yes the sun got the best of my photo lol but i still love it :)

And yes these are family photos . I would never accept the second two photos if they where for work . but since they're just family photos i wasnt really trying to be perfect i was aiming more for the memory and candid moment :)

Thanks guys :) I love these photos . It was a very very HOT day also And those men that went and attended to the fire i give alot of credit to I am very very thankful for them . There was a girl who was niece of one of the firefighters and she was putting together a slide show for all of them for some function and contacted me and asked if she could use the photos of them in the slide show . I was so happy and honored and of course i said yes . As well to me the photo of him speaks volumes And i am very glad he took a rest they where there for quiet a while dealing with that fire . I cant wait to get more of them in action showing them risking their lives to save not just lives of people and animals but to save buildings and businesses its a hard job and someones gotta do it and they deserve A LOT of credit for what they do ! :) And your very welcome i love sharing my work :) and i love the positive feedback that i get from a lot of people

I like #2 it's a wonderful shot of your husband. As photogrl57 pointed out his shirt is sitting funny but I think the catch lights you were able to get in his eyes makes up for it ;)

#3 looks like you have some blown highlights (side of your husbands face and his shoulder). It's still a great image.

Ya #3 i got way to much light .. thats the only think that really bothers me about the photo is how bright it is on his head and shoulder :( But i still love it . I have it blown up sitting on my wall its a memorable photo of a father and son :)

The first one is fabulous .. especially in black and white.
The second one ..his shirt looks a bit funny .. other than that love it.
The third one is awesome .. love the kiss ... a different angle .. maybe a step or two to the right would have been great.
Well done :)

His shirt might look a lil funny cus theres a light black boarder .. ? is that what ya mean by it ? also i softened the photo .

No hun .. the button seems strained ... like it's tight.. but I can see it's not.

Long story short . ...
There was a huge fire at Boston Pizza that took out blockbuster as well .. There where several firefighters . RCMP ( canadian cops) and lots of people around to watch I was one of several photographers there and i got this photo when one of the firemen was sitting down ...

To me the position he was sitting his body language just speaks to me .. Its hard to explain but im curious if it " speaks" to anyone else ..

This is one of my most favorite photos The last two photos where taking from the same fire

a lonesome firemen
