Well, I'll throw my 2 cents in- I'm not a professional as others claim to be. If money is no problem for the bride, then they usually will truly investigate and research the photography pros- and will pay top dollar. And they will and SHOULD get what I would call- "professional work". If friends ask friends to do weddings. In most cases, they don't have the $$ for a pro, they don't want to spend $$ for a pro, or maybe they want something for next to nothing.
I took pictures at my nieces wedding for nothing. I did it on my own. She paid someone $300 who had a cheap camera. There was no comparison as to which was better, but, you get what you pay for. That was nieces choice, no problem. I was asked to do a barmiztfa. The asking person felt insulted when I asked if she would purchase an extra battery for my camera or pay $75.00. She was looking for a free service, and me not being a professional- and I told her that- I at least wanted something for my time and effort.
I guess what I'm saying is if you don't feel confident "performing", then don't do it, or at least tell the interested parties that you can't guarantee pro-like pictures. I like what others are saying- watch, ask, absorb, volunteer, or do it for free for a while.
He honest with yourself. Listen to what these 'pros' have to say even if they come off as rude or braggish. If photography is going to be a profession for you, it is very competitive! Keep portfolios, establish a website and go for it.
The headline sums it all for me-"97% of "Climate" scientists agree"...That's like saying "97% of Christians agree there is a God". What do you think the "climate" scientists are going to agree on? They're left-wing nuts to start with!
Obama was elected for many reasons but the main one is his skin color. If you don't believe it, then you are living under a rock. Get ready for 2016. Hillary will run and will probably win because she is a woman. The same liberal- not progressive as the new term is-- news media and and the same idiots who produced the 'War on Women' AND Hillary will run with this all the way to the White House. The idiots who said it is time for a black president will be the same idiots who will say it's time for a woman to be president.
boy, between Bangee and thegrover, you all have a lot of time on your hands. Ok, accuse me of the same, good reading however!
4 years later of Obama and you're just now asking that question??? Wow!!
So by asking "What if" means you don't believe, then why ask the question?
'Retired and moved in 2000"- read it, your so anxious to play the race card, you couldn't get past the first line. She's not 13!
For one, it's the Huffington Post. 2- this is another anti-business ploy to incite prejudice against successful businesses. Next thing- govt will get involved trying to impose wage regulations. Let businesses and society decide fair market values and keep you regulating want-a-bees out!!
I heard a tweet to this effect- Zimmerman should have killed one of his ambassadors- seems like Obama is more interested and has more information on stuff like than on what goes on inside his administration.
"I'd share this on facebook, but I'd be instantly disowned by my family."
Thus- the problem and exactly why it will continue!
First off- you quote the NY-Times- that's your first mistake. 2nd- if immigration goes thru, tell me how health costs go down! This thing is a disaster through and through.
I'll throw my 2 cents in. I went to your image Gallery using an IPad. I chose a gallery to view and it returned a black page on every gallery. I could be wrong, but if you converted the images to a 'flash' component, they may not be able to be viewed with an IPad or IPhone-and ou kno how many people use those devices.
