I was hoping for a system to go straight to a computer. My laptop uses wifi to connect to the web I could set it up as a hot spot maybe. I remember that Eye fi could communicate with my ipad. With the help of this forum I hope to be able to find a solution.

I don't know if Amazon is selling Mobi Eye fi, It was my understanding from an email that the whole system is shut down.

I was a big user of the Eye Fi system to transfer photos from my cameras to my computer. Eye Fi upgraded to a system called Mobi, I never was able to use Mobi efficiently and lost a lot of photos. Then Mobi was cancelled. I used two Nikon cameras, a D5100 and a D5200 and a small Canon that were compatable with the Eye Fi system.

I am trying to find a system that I can use to send my photos to my computer, I think Nikon has a camera attachment to do this but cannot find information on the product or if it would do what I want to accomplish.

I have used the X2 pro cards for almost 3 years, the support kept getting worse now they are abandoning the X2 pro cards along with a whole list of services for the Mobi, buried in the announcement that the Mobi will connect with On Line Services but how? I have searched for answers but could not find an article explaining the procedure. The announcement also said that they are going to "migrate" the X2 support to the cloud later. This should have been in place before making the announcement and shutting OLS off with out a moments notice. They did the cut off the same day I was trying to upload photos to Facebook. I thought that Eye-Fi center had crashed again. I then searched the internet fo an answer when I stumbled onto the announcement.

Eye-Fi has never communicated well with their customers. The only way to find out about changes is by accident. Most of the features with the X2 chips never worked well at all such as using free hot spots. Their customer service was, and still is, a Joke. My first X2 Pro card became defective under warranty they replaced it with a refurbished card. I paid for a new card not a used card, that card finally stopped working eventually. The only way I found out that I couldn't upload any longer to OLS's was a search early this morning around 12:30 after trying for several hours. Eye-fi should have shut down Eye-fi center and posting a message that OLS is not available any longer.

Eye-Fi just announced the end of support for OLS. I tried all evening to send photos to Facebook. Tried reinstalling software, repairing software so I did a search anc came up with the fact that they have stopped sending protected photos from cameras (like my Nikon D5200 or any camera that can use a Eye-Fi card.

Today we are announcing that the Eye-Fi View and Eye-Fi Premium (collectively referred to as our legacy services) will no longer support third-party online services (OLSes). This change will impact users of the original Eye-Fi and Eye-Fi X2 product line (collectively referred to as our legacy products). We have maintained support for these services as long as possible, but due to marketplace realities, we are unable to continue to do this for our legacy product line. See below for affected products.

Going forward, our plan is to provide customers a variety choices for using third-party services in concert with the current Eyefi Mobi product line. The Mobi hardware, software and cloud service incorporate state of the art capabilities for integrating third-party offerings.

Later this month we will be announcing a bundle of products and services to ease the migration of your account from the legacy products to Eyefi Cloud. Please keep an eye out for the notice regarding account migration.

Following are some key details regarding this announcement.

As always, thanks for your continued loyalty and support.

Regards, Eyefi

You might need a hub that is powered since the drive needs power to run it. Try plugging the drive into USB port that is directly on your computer. My external drive requires two USB ports, one for power one for data

Click on picture and "save image as" should be an option then forward it as a file. I am still using XP Pro but other OS systems probably have a way to save the picture to your computer.

Wow, you are certainly a wealth of information. Thank you for your quick reply. I live in the center of Phoenix this is the first mushroom I have ever seen growing here. It has been so dry the past two years it is unbelievable then we have had some gully washers this week.

Where did that information about the upgrade to the D5200 and batteries no longer work, come from. I did the upgrade and all of my batteries still work both Nikon and aftermarket. Two of my Nikon batteries were purchased almost 2 years ago when I bought a D5100.

No matter what I try the properties window will not show EXIF data. No one else uses my computer (no other users listed.) I am listed as administrator in 3 different ways.

I won't try any more to make it work. My XP OS is very old so it might have non working areas.
