Please consider posting photos of your macro set-up in this section:

Wow! Just looked at some of the set-up photos.....I don't really have a set-up yet. Just my Canon 7D Mark II and Canon Macro EF 100mm 1:2.8. I use my tripod when possible, but hand held most of the time. I think my next acquisition will be flash. I also think I need to study some of these set-ups and make a decision! Thanks to all who've shared their set-ups.

Wow! Those are splendid! Focus, lighting, you got it all. I am looking forward to seeing more from you. The jumping spider is new to me.

Thanks so much, Mark. Jumpers are one my favorite subjects.

I've had my macro lens for awhile now. It took me what seemed like forever to get a handle on focusing. I still struggle with it at times, but I'm hooked!

Two nice images. Keep at it.
Thank you and I'll definitely keep at it. I'm having a hard time getting anything else done because I'm so fascinatied with it.....nothing is safe from my new lens.....Lol!!

You are doing just fine. You are prioritizing focusing on the eyes and nearby feet. That is normally as it should be.
The lighting is also good. The lighting is well diffused. With a flash you will want to add a diffuser.
Thank you for our input.
