I have been using Proshow Producer for several years... mainly creating BluRay shows of all my family events, vacations, etc. It is a great product for easily mixing photos, videos, and music together to produce a great looking show. One very nice feature is using the "Wizard" to generate part or all of your show. You can select the "slide styles" of your choice... and generate a variable mixture of only those styles using your photos and videos. You can run the "Wizard" multiple times to get a variation of your selected slides... until you like what the Wizard produces. It is a very quick and effective way of generating a show. You can use the "wizard" on only a few of the slides... or a mixture of slides... and can modify other slides and/or the "wizard" generated slides... manually. Great tool!

If you want to present your Photos and Videos in a very professional looking format... Proshow Producer is the way to go! Well worth the expense if you do much of this type of work.

I would concur with "ncralph"... that you should consider Black Magic Design's... Davinci Resolve 15. This is a very powerful package that competes with Adobe's Premiere Pro and has all the features of modifying and correcting video... to build video show output. They have a free version with most the features... but also a "at cost" version with extended features... if you want to expand. However, like Premiere Pro it will take a considerable investment in learning the tools, but you will have a lot of capability provided to you to do almost anything with your videos. I've invested most my time with Premiere Pro and it is difficult to relearn another product... but depending upon Adobe's future pricing... I will definitely consider Davinci Resolve in the future. Check out at blackmagicdesign.com.

Here's just a fun modification... brighten up the lights, color up his cheeks from glow of lights, brightened up his eyes, and throw in a little Santa Claus in the background.

I use Proshow Producer for my photos and videos. It is a little expensive... but well worth it for producing the best automated video production for your BluRay or normal sized DVD. You can also get a free version to experiment with on your own without investing. One very nice feature is using the "Wizard" feature... which will produce a show of all your photos and/or videos automatically... using your preferred slide styles. Then all you have to do is to add music... some music is provided by Proshow... or add your own music. I've produced several "shows" and share them with my family and friends. It's a great way to store your photos/videos on a BluRay DVD and access them when-ever you desire. Great Product!

Just a few suggestions... Since you have a great Barn and Pond background... Why don't you get 4 or 5 bales of hay and set them in a semi-circle around a camp fire in the middle... with quite a bit of space... and have adults and/or kids sitting on various positions on the hay bales... with a few kids and adults roasting marsh mellows over a fire. Arrange a pretty tight arrangement, with the Barn and pond in the near background, but have a very informal/relaxed setting for everyone... all happy, smiling, and enjoying each other. Set up camera on a tripod, with two flashes, on both sides (also on tripods), fired from trigger or flash on your camera. Even though you're outside... the flash will still give you a good resolution on your faces... and will stop any movements made by your family. Make sure you have a good "depth of field" setting to get a sharp image from front to back... and a good sharp lens that will handle the width of the shot. Use a remote trigger to activate your camera... or use a timer on your camera to fire the camera and flash. Take several pictures... then you can go and replace faces from one photo to another, where needed, in Photoshop to adjust closed eyes, etc...

CaptainC did a wonderful job with this photo... and putting a background that looks like it could be a ballroom... is a wonderful idea. It really matches the photo, which looks like they were attending a ball.

Excellent job !! How did you do that?

Thanks for the kind words... I used a few Topaz tools and Photoshop's scratch removal... a few iterations with different areas of picture. Then, I blended in the mountain using Photoshop.
