My favourite tree photo from many years ago. One of my little grandsons called it , the tree with two legs! Actually it is two Tamarack trees dude by side and thier tops are mingling together causing it to appear as one!
The tree with two legs!
Very eye catching:twin red barns.
A fold of white during the winter time can be deceiving, for example you might think you are looking at a field of snow, however in the picture below , the large white area is actually a field of Snowgeese!Sometimes Snowgeese might be found with a group of Canada Geese!
I watch critter encounters daily between our cat and birds at our window feeder. Case in point our cat and a Tree sparrow! The Tree Sparrow shows two identifying marks in the last photo: first identifying photo, a central breast spot and second identifying mark, the bottom yellow portion of its bicolour bill. The cat loves watching the birds up close and bats the window with its paw causing the bird top fly away, to return again!
This little White breasted Nuthatch has gotten to be quite a regular visitor in Bird Alley.. We also have a window feeder which is my favourite viewing , picture taking location of it. Just last week I watched it choose a peanut for lunching on! This is my favourite nuthatch picture of the white breasted! A red breasted nuthatch also visits our window feeder but I have not been able to take a picture of it yet!
Thank you for your much appreciated comment Tony.
Needles of pine quilt a soft warm blanket using
hushed hues of faded browns and yawning yellows
as Autumn prepares its winter bed
Northern vagabonds of wind and snow
whistle a warning lullaby of winter's approach
and Autumn falls asleep upon a soft white pillow
