I am neither an art nor landscape historian.Monet was one of the ultimate Impressionist painters, and his gardens and art were intertwined. I believe the impression of the gardens is similar to Monet’s vision, but am uncertain if they are maintained in the way Monet maintained them. I will try to find out.
Thanks. It was worth the walk.
I found a class picture of my father circa 1911, I guess. You can see the masts on boats on the Mersey in the background.
Thanks for looking and commenting. Alas for the local kids, it’s not snow, it’s really frozen sleet on the ground. Two days off from school and you can’t even build a decent snowman with the stuff.
Thanks for the thumbs up!
Frozen anything not in a cup is unusual here in North Lousiana. this duck looks angry
Thanks. Claude made it easy when he built the pond.
Visited Giverny this fall on a River Trip. It is always so pretty.
Thank you for the comments. Total serendipity. People were yelling wolf and this little guy came along.
We camped here on our honeymoon 51 years ago, and visited 10 years ago. Never had a animal come this close unless you consider the Buffalo on the road brushing against the car.
