I bought the same camera, as this is my first "real" camera. I love it. It does not have all the bells and whistles that some other cameras have but it is a great starter. I was a little overwhelmed at first but it takes beautiful pics. I have taken at least a thousand pics so far, deleting many of them, but I look at everything different now wondering how I could photograph it. I am also going to be purchasing a tripod very soon. Of course they are not pratical to use everywhere but if you are going to do scenic shots and Christmas lights in NY, might be a good idea. Happy snapping with your new camera :-)
Hello, I am new to photography and newer to forums so forgive me if I err in either one, :-) I've always loved pictures and wondering why I couldn't get mine to look good. I've done a lot of research, learning, deleted thousands of pictures and now I'm finally making some progress. I'm learning how to take a picture instead of just taking a picture. My dog, Jake, is my model most of the time, but I do like to photograph pretty much anything. Sometimes I surprise myself with the outcome. I still have a long way to go but I'm really looking forward to learning new things.
