Thanks Joe. I always appreciate your comments. I have not had a problem with the squirrels bothering the feeder or the suet cake. Maybe once a year or so. The reason may be because I spread a lot of seeds on the ground so they can eat pretty well without having to go to all the trouble to climb the pole, etc.

Found that out years ago. If ya can’t beat ’em, join ’em! Good for you!

Which Way and Why?

Photo C. Going from right to left (into some space) makes the majority of people associate the picture with coming home. Going from left to right (into some space) usually evokes the feeling of leaving.

Joe, They know.......THEY KNOW! I can't tell you how many times I've heard numerous birds and get out my cell phone with the Merlin app on it, and as soon as the phone is out..........quiet! Like they all went on vacation somewhere. So don't feel alone, it's happening in Florida too!
