does anyone have a great backpack that they would like to share the pro's and/or con's. I am in the market to purchase one. I am considering one which I could slide my laptop in also. :/

This won't help with a laptop, but I tho't I'd mention this anyway...

A friend who saw me packing my camera "stuff" gave me one of his old hunting vests and it works great for travelling or hikes. It has a couple of large pockets for extra lenses and various size pockets for misc., with lots of snaps and/or velcro. Under a jacket it becomes unnoticable... A fisherman's vest would work, too.

OH NO! sounds like I missed something REALLY good out there :( please let me know where webinars are posted for the future (hopefully there will be). I am so new at photography and I am like a dry sponge soaking up all I can learn.

The i-photo and Aperture 3 are excellent programs for the mac. Have used both for many years and find them easy to use. Have played with lightroom, elements & CS5 and find them to be less user friendly. You may have the i-photo on your mac all ready. i-photo 11 is the latest version which I would recommend up grading to.

I have iphoto now but I find it very limiting by itself. Didn't realize there was an upgrade out there. I have been on this site now for less than a week and I am gaining sooooo much information!!

I have a Canon T2i and have been using Apple"s Aperture 3 program for a couple of years. It is relatively easy to learn and use and does everything I want it to do. I also use some " NIk " plug-in's that work along with Aperture. You can download a free trial of Aperture from the Apple web site. Nik also provides free trial software for their products.

excellent! love the free trials to test first! thanks!

buy elements 10 from amazon as a download for $49.95. it's awesome. i have been a photoshop user for 17 years....i just loaded elements tonite and it's just like photoshop in most ways. the commands and shortcuts are the same. just some over advanced stuff left out.

also check the thread for the free photoshop webinar..it will include the basics for elements.

I recently purchased a Canon T3i (love it!) and want to know what are some of the good editing software for a MAC. I have read a little on the Adobe Elements 10, but would like to hear from anyone if there are others out there which have proven to be just as good. Thanks :)
