Expect to visit the Houston area in the near future. Please suggest places to visit, especially those providing good opportunities to take pictures.

On page 85 of the owner's manual is a chart indicating various image-recording quality settings. Two of the JPEG quality settings are indicated as large (L) with 17.9 megapixels. However, one of the two has a file size of 6.4 MB and the other 3.2 MB and therefore twice as many pictures can be recorded on an SD card for the latter. Does this mean that the quality of a picture with 3.2 MB is not as good as one with 6.4 MB or what?

You might want to explore hyperfocal distances. For example, with a 28mm lens set to f/22 and the focus manually set to 4.5 ft, everything from 2.25 ft to infinity will be in focus. You can do a search on this website or Google. I carry a small card in my wallet that instantly provides me with the info I need.

Recently, I purchase PSE 10. It came with 3 disks. Put #1 in my HP and it loaded without problem. However, there was no prompt to insert disk 2 nor 3. Further, as far as I can tell, the program is running fine. Do I need to install whatever is on these 2 disks? If not, what is on them? Ken S.

I appreciate your input. Are there any non-Mac laptops that the image quality remains (almost) the same regardless of the angle of view?

I have an HP laptop and I am trying to learn PSE 10. Already, many of you have posted things that are helpful. One (and there are many) of my major problems is that the brightness of my pictures is dependent upon how far I open the computer screen. The more I open it, the darker my pictures become. How far should the screen (top of the computer) be open?
