So many amazing shots. Congrats to all.
Two flowers behind barbed wire in Northern Indiana.
I'm just tossing this in there as a third variable. Besides the equipment / photographer balance, there is also the "subject". Simply put, you can't get that 11 pt buck jumping over a brook unless you have a 11 pt buck jumping over a brook, regardless of the equipment or photographer.
However, as you suggest, it is what you do with that equipment, including post processing, that really matters.
Sure, you can always find it cheaper. If it fell of the back of a truck is one way. Or, a friend of a friend of a friend might have one for sale they never used. Or it could be gray market. But, if you want a camera that has a manufacture warranty and can be fixed by a registered dealer, you will be paying what the manufacturer pegs it at.
The one you want to really stay away from is the obvious out of reality price; it's a scam. So when they advertise for $750 what everyone else is selling for $999, ya, its a scam.
NOTE: Amazon has been having some problems standing behind their third party sellers. As more and more scammers use their system, innocent people are being ripped off. Amazon is not on the consumer's side.
