Thank you. I think I am driving myself a little crazy trying to figure out what to purchase. I want to make sure I get the best combination that will make me happy and last me a while. It is a rather large purchase for me and it may be awhile before I can upgrade to anything else so I want to get a couple of lenses that I can learn with. But that will give me a good range to play with.
I found this lens on Amazon.com and was wondering if anybody has used this lens and whether you have any insight on whether it would be a good all round lens. I like the price on it but am concerned that it has been discontinued. I am considering purchasing a D3300 and am trying to decide the best combination of lens that will get me the best bang for my buck. I am thinking about a lens like this and a 35mm f/1.8. This will give me more range than the two kit lens that I can get with a bundle and would mean less lens changing. I am a beginner to DSLR. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.
I know I wasn't the poster but thank you all for the advice. It is very helpful and I am definitely going to do a little more research before I decide what to buy!
I haven't used it but I have been on their website. You can print different sizes even square. The price is ok a bit more than what you would spend to have a canvas made. As to the quality, I don't know as I haven't ordered anything from there. If anybody has I would also like to know as I was considering purchasing a print from them for a gift.
I also considered the D5300 but the price was a little higher than I can really afford right now. I like that with D3300 I will also be able to afford a third lens besides the two that it comes with. I really want the 50mm f/1.8 prime lens. : )
I have been researching these two cameras myself. I am about to buy my first dslr soon. I have a limited budget and am also a beginner so I wanted something fairly user friendly and on the lower end of the money spectrum. I have decided to go with the D3300 as I feel it will suit me just fine. And I think the "perks" on the d3400 are not work the extra cash. I also like that the D3300 has a self cleaning sensor which the 3400 lacks.
