Good morning! Beatiful flowers again. I love number 1 and number 3 mostly because I love sunflowers. Good work. : )

It's not better, it's just newer... Please do your research so you really know what you're doing because clearly you don't

I don't know who this comment was directed at but clearly the OP as well as myself are doing research or the question wouldn't have been posed. The reason I haven't mentioned the external mic port is that I have no interest in taking videos so that does not help my consideration of a camera. That being said, I do agree that the D3300 is a better camera for other reasons. Howerever, I do not find it necessary to be pompous and insulting.

I have been looking at used and refurbished as well. Amazon.com actually has used and certified refurbished also.

A few pics I snapped of the sun rising at my kid's bus stop last week. I know the quality isn't great but I loved the colors and had to run back into the house and grab my camera. Thanks for looking.

Yes, I also have considered the 70-300mm but I think I am going to get the 35mm f/1.8 first. Thank you for the advice.

I've used the Nikon D3000 series for years and I am very happy with them. I presently own the D3000 and D3200. I had a D3100 but trashed it and my lens in a fall. You gave me a GAS attack when I looked on Ebay and saw the prices of the D3300! I kept telling myself, "I don't need a new camera. I don't need a new camera."

I can guarantee that you will be very happy if you purchase a D3300 (especially at the reduced prices!)

The price was one of the reasons I was really liking this particular camera. I know this is going to sound stupid but what does GAS stand for?

I found one on amazon.com for I think $189 and I believe I am going to go with that one since it is the one I really want.

I like the second one best. I like using selective color on occasion as well to really make an image pop.
