Can you tell me if this will fit a Nikon Df?

I have only tried the 50mm. I have 2 Nikon 50's, an AI 1.4, an AF s 1.8 and several others, including A Helios 50 and a Helios 58 (I love both of those BTW) and a couple of 55mm micro Nikkor autos. All I can tell you is that if I owned the Yongnuo, it would never even leave home, let alone leave my bag. That said, it would make a decent image. In the hands of the right photographer, it can make a really nice image.

NO, with today's high ISO camera's 1.4 lenses are a thing of the past. There is less than a 1/2 stop between those two lenses. The Nikon 50mm 1.8 G lens is outstanding. There is NO, I repeat, NO difference in image quality between the two lenses and don't let anyone tell you their is. Go 1.8 and be happy. And, it is currently on sale.

I own and use both lenses. Unless you have an overriding reason (i.e. a lot of very low light shooting) to buy the 1.4, the 1.8 will serve very well.

However, the statement above has 2 errors. The 1.4 is 2/3rds of a stop faster, and will have a slightly shallower depth of field. The resulting bokeh will be different. If the 2 lenses are compared at the same f stop, I doubt you will be able to tell any difference.

I would love to have the D200 (if not taken) and the D300 manuals. I own both cameras. (and use them!)

I used my Retina IIa yesterday. Not even a light meter, but I do use a hand held one.

I finally found one that looked pretty good on eBay, and I have one for parts. Fingers crossed.

I have a IIIC, the same as my grandfather's. I did the CLA on it myself, and it functions beautifully and looks showroom new. I got the auxiliary viewfinder and lenses on eBay, after some serious waiting and searching. I have several Retina I and II models from my youth, and they are still functional.

If you have any skills at all, and some basic tools, they are quite easy to work on, and many parts are interchangeable. I highly recommend searching YouTube for Chris Sherlock's excellent, step-by-step videos on repairs. They will give you confidence to attempt repairs that might seem challenging at first. There are many parts cameras available on eBay, and you will take pride in restoring something that your dad would have loved. And if all else fails, Chris Sherlock, although he's located in New Zealand, can make any Retina look and act like new.

Good luck!

Thanks! I have no problem tearing one down if I need to. I have a full set of jewelery tools and some experience with watches. (mostly pocket watches)

This is the camera that I took my first pictures with. It belonged to my dad, and he let me borrow it. It was followed by a Nikkormat FTn, and it got "left behind" somewhere along the path. There are quite a few on eBay, but it is really hard to tell if they are functional. I did buy a "for repair" unit, which is not functional, but has good glass. (Xenon f:2 50mm) I could even use one that has "bad glass" if the other functions are good. I'm not looking for a collector grade, just a functional user. I have looked at all the usual outlets, but am drawing a blank. Any suggestions?

I'm not interested in spending much money to discover that the roll is either unusable or contains a few essentially useless images. It's just an offer for some adventurous soul who still has a darkroom and would like a fun project. I know I can have it profssionally developed, but I'm not really interested in that.

The roll is black paper with a silver printed label. I am assuming B&W, but I really have no idea.

I purchased a Kodak Tourist II with the goal of repurposing the lens for use on a Nikon mount. Much to my surprize there is an exposed roll of film in it. I'm curious if anyone out there would like to develop the roll. I have no idea what, if anyting is on it. It is obviously decades old. I would just like to see the pictures if there are any. If there are any takers, just PM me your address, and I will drop it in the mail.

You can't be serious. MPG is the factor that matters if you want a trip that uses "less gas" Speed is irrelevant.

From Wikipedia
"A rocket moving out of a gravity well does not actually need to attain escape velocity to escape, but could achieve the same result (escape) at any speed with a suitable mode of propulsion and sufficient propellant to provide the accelerating force on the object to escape."

Are you talking about this kind of device made by Hoodman. I got one to go with my Pentax Q-7 {LCD only, no viewfinder}, and it works just fine.

Yes. There are several of them available. I'm not particularly worried about the optical quality if I can see the screen clearly.
