Fawlty, thank you -- it really does make a difference. I have limited software, but I'm going to try as well. Linda from Maine said if she had time she would try -- I see what a difference the photo makes without the light background and the pillow as a distraction. Thanks very much!!!

Get them a rabbit and turn it loose in the house. That will wake them up.

To much time in people turning photography into a science, The science is in the building of the camera, they are tested every way possible before they are put on the market. Turn your thoughts into taking photos instead of comparing one camera to the other. Your test are not science they are a waste of time. I read these comments all the time with no results at the end of them.

I would buy a refurbished Canon 7D from the canon store for about $1200.oo A very good sports camera at 8 frames per second...I bought a 7D refurbished and am very satisfied. Same warranty as new....Rich

I shoot a T3i canon, very happy with it, it is a 5 star camera easy to use. I don't care about the video part of the camera, some time I think a improved camera is the video is improved not the photo aspect, better photo's are my concern at all times. thank you for the provided information, I have been reading your posts about 2 years and have great respect for you and your posts.

Hi Dave. I do have a 1 stop GND, but I find that its affect is too subtle (for my taste, anyway). One thing to be careful with when using a GND is to remember that it darkens everything above the horizon line, not just the sky. I once took a lot of general outdoor pics, forgetting that the GND was fitted. I don't review in camera, & when I finally viewed them, all the skies were darkened, but so were trees & buildings etc. It spoiled a lot of pics. Earl.

It depends on what you like. You can play with photo's all day long and never be happy with the result's.

It's good I was driving slow!! It was a 75mph limit and I was doing 84. On the interstates with 80mph limits I'd do 90, 95 or even 100. Coming across the Great Salt Desert where it was nothing but straightaway and no entrance ramps I exceeded my highest speed, which I hesitate to admit. The three warnings I got were for speed, no front license plate, and for driving in the passing lane (now what kind of violation is that?). I did thank the trooper for giving me warnings. Not being blond I NEVER get warnings.

Well what the problem with that, the trooper must have been having a bad day.

The 60D canon is a great camera. As near as I can tell the 70D is replacing the 60D, and I am thinking also of upgrading to the 70D, there is no chance of going wrong with either of the two. the 60D body only about 500 $ where as the 70D will cost you more.

The only reason I will upgrade is that it will give me a extra camera for a back up and I can attach another lens and have it ready to shoot. with no real change in the settings with either camera. I wont have to change lens in the field and risk dust getting into the camera body.

I love the composition as-is. The foreground rocks, fence line, rugged empty countryside that goes on and on with very little sky...all very pleasing.

Good!! the fence is well ahead.
