You have my sympathy for having to eat at Cracker Barrel.
Alternative advice: At the Louvre, get to the Mona Lisa, Winged Victory, and Venus de Milo so you can say you’ve seen them and then spend some real time at the D’Orsay. Skip Versailles but linger at the Rodin museum. See the Eiffel Tower from afar as part of a nighttime tour. Do a boat ride on the Seine - night or day or both. Get up to Montmartre. Do a hop-on, hop-off bus ride with no particular destinations but do hop off. As many others have suggested, start with a word or two in French so they’ll immediately know you are American. Don’t try to do too much on one visit - Paris will still be there next year.
You don’t buy a Viper because it gets great mileage.
That regulation went into effect in the late ‘60s. Jaguar XKEs did not meet the height requirement so in 1968 they removed the headlight covers and raised the units a few millimeters. The rumor was that Porsche just jacked the front torsion bars up and new owners would crawl under and readjust them.

Wow, the world on negative ICE people... I am sure the same comments were made in 1900 shouting the foreverness of horse and buggies. Bob Dylan would sing to you ... time they are a changin

I don’t believe digital cameras will ever replace real cameras that use film - they just don’t have the same quality.

Yes. Had just dropped my wife off at PT near Martin’s and couldn’t resist taking a shot.
Through the windshield at the mall with my IPhone11 this morning.
Corporate crimes are routinely punished with fines and, quite often, non-disclosure agreements are signed. I know it’s hard to prosecute these cases, but an attempt might provide some deterrence.

Wonderful set, beautifully done. Would love to take that Miata for a spin.
Having owned a couple of Miatas, a spin with that power is not unlikely. Also, I haven’t seen an AMX in a long time.
Walk to the top of the Belfry of Bruges for great views. Other than that, everything is photogenic. As mentioned, Rick Steves always provides good advice.
I agree. Back in the day when I was into such things, I believe the most exciting sound came from reel to reel tapes - I still recall a stunning recording of Alexander Nevsky on tape (Ormandy???).
The discontinued and unlamented repurposing of the Lincoln LS with Jaguar badging. Frankly, the styling is bad, only outdone by the X Type. The S Type was supposed to be the reincarnation of the Mark 2 but, despite many improvements introduced during Ford’s ownership, these two models were embarrassments. I’m not thrilled with the styling of any current Jags, except the F Type. I did own an XF that is exceptional in many ways, but that gaping grill is unsettling. I speak as a former Jag Concours Chief Judge and previous owner of an XK150, 2 XKEs, 3 XJs, XF and current XK8.
