We are at the mercy of the Administration suppressing facts and guidelines. I as a scientist, listen to Dr. Fouchie and away from the USA watch Dr John Campbell from Australia. Campbell is very, perhaps too through regarding the statistics of the worldwide infection and death rate.

A big take away from the literature is the protective benefits of Vitamin D. As Campbell points out the disproportionate death rate of the dark-skinned communities may have a relationship to vitamin D. Dark skin decreases the sunlight to vitamin D in body production. Smoking sets the stage for increased lung damage by COVID-19 disease.

My only comment is that if you choose to ignore the advice of medical professionals, then to be consistent, you (and your immediate family) should also choose not to go to the ER and expect those same professionals to care for you (and endanger themselves) if you contract the virus and become ill. Are all the people touting their individual rights willing to make that commitment? It won’t help those you may infect, but it’s the least you can do if you’re actually willing to walk what you talk.

You see, it is not just your decision or your choice - what you choose affects others. If you live in a society, then you accept some responsibility for others than just yourself. You may choose to drive drunk, but the person you kill is your responsibility as well.
