So multiple countries are wrong, even when they report a lot of success. Including the French Doctor who is considered one of the world leaders in virology.

Read more about this guy. Even he is backing off of his early claims. He doesn't believe in studies, has only anecdotal information. Source? Real news, by responsible reporters, not RW news that supports everything hannety/trump say.

I limit my outside of the home to essential shopping at most two stores. New glove each.

Keen said: "I take epidemics/pandemics seriously...having worked in Military Public Health overseas. I will survive." I was an industrial divisional Health/Safety-Environmental Manager... I too take this Pandemic Seriously. I have the feeling tho if I became a registered Republican, then I would be immuned... at least that is what too many think... ridiculous indeed. Political antiscience is dangerous ... Very!

Some are anti inoculation people thinking "God will protect me." To them, I would point out that if they believe the [which edit] Bible god on a bad day sends plagues. We are at the mercy of the Administration suppressing facts and guidelines. I as a scientist, listen to Dr. Fouchie and away from the USA watch Dr John Campbell from Australia. Campbell is very, perhaps too through regarding the statistics of the worldwide infection and death rate.

A big take away from the literature is the protective benefits of Vitamin D. As Campbell points out the disproportionate death rate of the dark-skinned communities may have a relationship to vitamin D. Dark skin decreases the sunlight to vitamin D in body production. Smoking sets the stage for increased lung damage by COVID-19 disease.

Edgar Allen Poe [1842] in the Masque of The Red Death describes Trump's by-position-wealth feeling of security that he will not end up with COVID-19... "The story follows Prince Prospero's [man of wealth] attempts to avoid a dangerous plague, known as the Red Death, by hiding in his abbey [The West Wing]. The Masque of the Red Death had long devastated the country. No pestilence had ever been so fatal, or so hideous. Prospero’s [Trump's] indulgence in the seven deadly sins: Pride/Vanity – Pride is the excessive belief in one’s own abilities, similar to vanity,... Envy – It is unclear who the Prince might envy, but he sure is trying hard to <discredit Obama>. [Google Masque of the Red Death and also its Symbolism]

Thanks for the interesting, and sane, posting.

My only comment is that if you choose to ignore the advice of medical professionals, then to be consistent, you (and your immediate family) should also choose not to go to the ER and expect those same professionals to care for you (and endanger themselves) if you contract the virus and become ill. Are all the people touting their individual rights willing to make that commitment? It won’t help those you may infect, but it’s the least you can do if you’re actually willing to walk what you talk.

You see, it is not just your decision or your choice - what you choose affects others. If you live in a society, then you accept some responsibility for others than just yourself. You may choose to drive drunk, but the person you kill is your responsibility as well.

Bravo! Yours is a reasoned, calm response. I was tempted to make another kind....

Check out Creede, Colorado. My family has been there for a week, in a group of cabins, for over 35 years. Soward Ranch is on the Rio Grande River. Mesa Verde is a day trip. Creede Repertory Theater has matinees and evening performances.
I don't know what effect the coronavirus might have on any of this.

Acorn, and some other streaming services, are free, through my local library. Go to your library's website and look for online resources, and you'll probably find the same, and also ebooks, audio books, and more. Oh, support your local library!

Interesting. My printing would be inconsistent. I might print several copies of books of 25 pages or more, or I might just print normal household pages. I guess they would charge more and send more ink for the busy months. I wouldn't want to wind up on the 300 page plan when I'm printing only 20 pages. I'll have to give this some thought.

The ink levels in the cartridges is monitored via the internet, and ink is sent to you accordingly. There is no additional charge for using lots of ink, as number of pages is the basis for the cost. And, unused pages do roll over.

Be sure to get off of I-95 and on to US 1 at Brunswick so that you can enjoy the coastal towns. I used to live in Newcastle, one of the Twin Villages of Newcastle and Damariscotta. Be sure to take a little time to see those towns. On down the road you'll find Rockland, Rockport, Camden, all great towns with lots to see. You will circle Penobscot Bay, with ocean views.
If you stay on 95, you will be inland, miss the ocean, fishing villages, great lobster shacks.

I have used the HP plan for years. They claim that the cost is half of what you would pay if you bought their genuine ink in a store. If you go over the number of sheets in your plan you are charged for additional sheets in increments.

Before you decide which way to go, I recommend you try Libre Office, which is compatible and downloads for free. Donations are asked for. I know of more than one Brit corporation that use it. For me it is a superior office suite.

I use Libre Office now. You can save documents and spreadsheets as Microsoft docs or sheets if you like, so that you can send or share with someone who uses MS products and they can open them. I get frustrated with MS Word because of all the formatting it wants to do. Libre has all the tools I need, and is by no means bare bones. I too think it is superior!

I think they are the same Xs that allow you to close a pop-up ad on a browser page. The "framework" for an ad that doesn't load, maybe. I don't think there is a setting that would prevent them, but maybe a browser extension that prevents pop-ups in the first place would do the trick.

Here is a shot I took maybe fifteen years ago, with a point and shoot. I'm putting it up here in the hope that I'll get comments about composition...
