Wili, are you saying that the way Billy gives his critique is an honest and intellectual and constructive way to give critique?!
You and Billy are smacking if elitist, show only beautiful 18 year old BOOTY, or it has absolutely no place in a learning envirenoment.
And where are YOUR suggestions for improvement? Reinaldo gave his opinion and had many positive suggestions on how to improve the shot beyond just his opinions. Tear a page out of his playbook and memorize it.
Sure, anytime I take a crappy shot, it is definately my fault. Sometimes it takes working with a Model more than once to figure out what works and the more experience one has the easier it becomes to take captures that are becoming of a model on a first session.
I see a parade of the ugliest grandkids shown here on the Hog and rather than bite my lips off, I quietly back myself out and move on.
For some reason this section has drawn people in that don't shoot the genre but it appears to be their mission to point out how these images affect their personal sensibilities, as if the OP's have begged for them to spill their insecure baggage.
Wili, I suggest giving critique as critique should be given, or better to get out.
When everybody can afford the big buck models we will probably see mostly young, beautiful 18 year old BOOTY, since that seems to be the only thing that's important to some.
When a photographer is GOOD enough, models will seek them out at no cost to the photographer, but until that happens, most will have to make do with whatever models they can find, but they still need to be treated with the same equal respect as the high dollar, 18 year old BOOTY shooters.
I just can't figure out what of any of this some just don't get?!?!

I'm pretty sure this forum is for nudes, or suggestive nearly nude models, therefore any classy shot, whether full nude or not, is appropriate. Art shots are nice, but not every shot has to be 'Art'. Suggestive is the word that comes to mind, but anything that shows womanliness is good. Right?

Well laid out shot, it says loudly 'WOMAN', in a very classy way.

Very well done and interesting shot. Really nice looking model too! More shots like this will improve this topic, keep it up.

Love the pic, agree the hair could be improved. I'd also suggest about three-four additional inches of her legs, to balance the photo. I wish the hand wasnt slightly blurry, but its nothing major except it draws attention away from the rest of the subject. I love the model's skin tone, in a country famous for lack of sunshine it is refreshing. She looks 'real'. The shot appears horizontally stretched slightly, may be just my take on it. I hope we get to see more of this style shot, all elements good and the shot shows off the model well.

I agree with Tom about the background and the feet (cropped out), I greatly love the natural look of the model's skin. Showing her freckles, skin texture, the lack of make up to her face, bringing out her natural beauty all add up to making a terrific treatment. I dont mind snakes, especially the colorful ones, they add to the shot IMHO.

Unfortunate for all of us, there is no politics that represents what so many people think makes sense any more.

Pardon me for saying it but I think that if today's politics mean constant trashing of the opposite party with nothing more than insults, then the parties themselves have very little meaning or foundation...they no longer are for the country at large but for the self-interested. I am neither dem or republican at this point because I am not a religious zealot exclusionist nor am I a spendy bleeding heart without ambition. I wish we had smart, internationally savvy, fiscally responsible, honest, nationalistic candidate that believed in human rights...but we don't.

You can I guess toss darts at either candidate and it makes not a bit of difference. Nevermind, you can say what you will. It's all just crap.

This effort doesnt provide a center of attention, not even the nipple. I am still trying to understand what the photo is trying to say. There is no face, no in focus area, no real statement made. The flower looks out of place in this shot. It might be better in all B&W. The light isnt being used to good impact for the composition and seems to detract from the model. I think this shot might be treated to some pp to good advantage. I'd suggest going back and experiment with the basic shot to find the best presentation. This is just my opinion of course.

Good shot, I might've put just a touch more light on the hair, to bring it out. She has such beautiful hair.

What a great way to remember a pregnancy. Her skin is flawless, the lighting seems to bring it out very well.
