Let's talk some about geological locations of some of the things already mentioned. The cheese factory will be crowded, very crowded. Garibaldi to the north is a short drive north and (IMHO) offers more photo opportunities. Cannon Beach and Seaside are farther north. Fort Stevens is farther north (almost Astoria), if you decide to go there to see what little is left of the Peter Iredale (shipwreck) allow time to see Astoria too. Camp 18 was mentioned and is a good place for photo opportunities, however, it is not close to Tillamook. To visit Camp 18 you need to go north from Cannon Beach and come west about 30 minutes on Hwy 26. I am sorry I don't know exact miles, but Cannon Beach/Seaside will take about an hour to get to from Tillamook. However, Lincoln City is about an hour south of Tillamook and will be crowded.

One place to consider see is Munson Falls just south of Tillamook. See the WWII blimp hanger and there is an air museum there. About 45 minutes south is Neskowin/Proposal Rock/Oregon Ghost Forest (at lower tides). If you go this far south, just a little north of Neskowin is Pacific City/Cape Kiwanda.

HWY 101 is not straight, many curves, and can be slow getting to places.

I hope this helps with your planning.

I have been in and out of jail many times (times more than once a day) and I don't pictures of the place. This is one of the benefits of serving as a police chaplain.

My experience with Precision Camera through Sony Imagining Pro Support has been respectful, efficient, and fast. Communication was clear and to the point.

Consider looking for used/refurb Sony RX100 line of cameras.

Look at this one. I use them and they work as intended.

Cemeteries are not publically owned. Getting permission first is recommended. When hosted a photography event at two local cemeteries I got permission first and that made the difference as one family, while visiting, challenged us as to why we were there and if we had permission.

Instead of going to the same focal range. Trade in the 24-70 f4 for the Sony 24-105 f4 G oss lens. It is a much better lens and with better glass than the ziess glass of 24-70 f4. I did this and I a glad I did.

Sony also has some firmware updates for E-mount lenses. You should look for those also.

If you are not doing these things -- Use "M" on the dial. Set for the lowest ISO you have on your camera. Set for the smallest aperture (the highest f-stop number). I use a CPL and a VND stacked for my long exposures. I am often at 20-30 seconds.

I will say it again, any lens will work but always use CPL.
