OK. As a long time Olympus film camera user, (OM2n, OM4ti,) it was easy to choose the the Olympus E-3 and E-30 as digital cameras. I really like them. But now, my granddaughter gave me her Canon Rebel EOS T3i. I like it as well. Can you tell me if either system has an advantage over the other. Lenses aside. I have several for each camera. Thank you. Paul
We have lived in four states, about six cities, have been married 65+ years so obviously have seen a lot. And we loved it all and still do. We loved the 50’s but love 2022. Stop whining. Start enjoying.
I have and use the Maxxum 9. I much prefer it to the Nikon F4 and F5 that I previously used. For a real treat, try the 600si. A gem of a camera I use to travel light.

You’re right about Amira with a beautiful operetic style in the same vein as Jackie Evancho.
Cute yes, good yes, but the song belongs to Frank
All were wonderful! But, Linda Ronstadt did a version of “What’s New” that is so real you believe she is actually singing it directly to some guy.
Kind of related. We watched two old Frank Sinatra movies recently. He was a private detective in one, a cop in the other. In both movies beer cans/bottles were shown—very visible Budweiser labels. Did Budweiser pay to have these shown?
At last. Thank you. The analog sites are quite lame. I expect much more from this one. By the way, I recently decided I didn’t want to try to do it all, so, it’s my Maxxum 9 and b&w film only.
Very recently I made a deliberate, well thought out and intelligent decision to abandon my fine dslr and return to my equally as fine film slr. It’s not a question of which is best. It’s what I choose to do. I should neither be applauded nor chastised for my decision.
I’ve been trying to find a way to keep the red squirrels off our feeders since we retired. So far I have failed. But then, we have only been retired for 21 years.
We are dropping directv because of its high cost. Youtube tv at $65 a month doesn’t help much. Hulu sounds much better. Thanks. Plus HughesNet is neither fast nor reliable when there is any bad weather.
I forgot to mention, I am 50+ miles from the nearest transmitter, 80+ miles from the next two.
It’s not a few trees. It’s hundreds, not all on my property. And, I live in the woods by choice, and for some things, that is a down side.
I live deep in the woods, so satellite tv and satellite internet are the only options I know of. I have HughesNet, the only one I could get, and Directv. I’m not particularly happy with either, but, as I said they seem to be my only options. I want to drop Directv. Because I am surrounded by trees, a roof top antenna may only get me one or two stations. Trees are much taller than my roof in every direction. I tried it years ago. First, any other options or suggestions. Next, are there any live news shows via HughesNet. I have Netflix, Amazon, Disney. Thanks.
When we were wintering in Florida, Amazon delivered wine—cold.
I have decided to get start developing and enlarging photos again, but I parted with all my gear years ago. So, step one. An enlarger. I will be doing b&w only, 35mm only. So, I need recommendations for an enlarger. Not an “entry” unit, but a quality unit. Suggestions? I did a WTB on the Hog and got some interesting but not quite right answers. So, I am still looking. Thanks.
