why is it a Iron Workers Memorial Bridge, people falling off,
or jumping..?
On June 17, 1958, as a crane stretched from the north side of the new bridge to join the two chords of the unfinished arch, several spans collapsed. Seventy-nine workers plunged 100 ft into the water. Eighteen were killed either instantly or shortly thereafter, possibly drowned by their heavy tool belts. A diver searching for bodies drowned later, bringing the total fatalities for the collapse to 19. In a subsequent Royal Commission inquiry, the bridge collapse was attributed to miscalculation by bridge engineers. A temporary arm, holding the fifth anchor span, was deemed too light to bear the weight.
The bridge was renamed the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Crossing in 1994 to honour the 19 workers who died in the collapse, along with four others who also died during the construction process. <info from Wikipedia>
It was originally called the second-narrows (most people here still refer to it by it's original name) - the first-narrows bridge is the Lions Gate Bridge - and everyone calls it the Lions Gate - not the first narrows.

Iron Workers Memorial Bridge in Vancouver
Great shots ... what jumps out for me - is that no matter how little they have - they still have to put bars up on the windows to stop others stealing it! (scaffold shot) Here in Canada we are so lucky - it's very rare to see a 'barred' window - I notice it pretty quick - my original country of residence (SA) it's mandatory (as a minimum)

Nice work am going to try this myself when i get a chance.
it's easier than I thought ... and very well rewarding - I used the free Startrails software for stacking - works very well - and you have an option to create an avi file as well.

Thanks again for the reply. I have only experimented with time lapse using my GoPro and a free stacker program but looking at your time lapse I'm going to have to try it with the MK2. Are you able to to take 1200 shots on a full battery?
I have an aftermarket grip - and 2 aftermarket batteries ... they still show at least 70% after (more than) 1200 shots ... so, my guess is 1200 on a single battery should be possible ... keep res at M (jpg) - and make sure your shutter speed is around 1.5 seconds and about f16 - if you want the southern cross effect on sun and the deep blue sky. ... GL - send me the link when you done :)

I really like the second one. What program are you stacking with?
I used to use Corel VideoStudio ... but I lost it - so these were just done with Windows Live MovieMaker which is as buggy as all hell - but has to suffice :(
