Very nice. Thank you for the input.
I have the two kit lenses, 18-55MM and 55-200MM. Also a Nikon macro zoom (28-105MM) which I also purchased through Craigslist. I have been very happy with the macro zoom. And I have a 35mm prime lens that I bought new. Am thinking of selling the kit lenses, too, if the prospective Nikkor works out.
Thank you both for your input and Eric, I LOVE your avatar. I have an Opus too!
I have a Nikon D5000 with several lenses. One of them is a used Tamron 200-500MM that I purchased through Craigslist for a really good price. I've had it for nearly two years and find that I haven't used it much. I am looking at a used 18-200MM Nikon Nikkor AF-S through Craigslist and thinking of selling my Tamron lens to fund the Nikkor purchase. I think I would use the 18-200MM all of the time, as opposed to rarely using the Tamron. Any thoughts?
Hello from Escondido. It's a great site -- you'll really enjoy it.
The red flower from Costa Rica is bougainvillea. Lots of them in Southern California.
Taking photographs for money adds a level of stress to something that is a relaxing outlet for you. Enjoy the hobby, and if it turns into more than that -- that's great.
