I won't argue with you about being ugly!

Ha, a fair technical capture of a very ugly subject.

Haha, yeah, about 25 years, maybe more. Thanks Joe.

Nice, I just wish that you had a little more room around the second one

I agree topcat. I want back and checked the original image and I just didn't leave any more than what's in the image. Lately, when I photograph things like this, I've not been in-camera cropping so much.

Flowering Quince: Chaenomeles is a genus of four species of deciduous spiny shrubs, usually 1–3 m tall, in the family Rosaceae. Just Google the name.

That certainly looks correct. I think it was taken in the Sandhills State Park in south central Kansas, but I'm not certain. Thanks for the info.

Who you callin’ ugly? Haha.
Nice shot. I found some mushrooms in my garden that pop up every morning and are rotten and gone by noon. They pop up again in the next day. I think they are ink mushrooms. I found them to be extremely photogenic.

Thanks Robert. Do you use that view camera for any close-ups? Back in the day I used a 205 on my 4x5 which worked pretty good for close-ups.

Probably the ugliest mushroom I've ever photographed. Captured on film many years ago and camera scanned a few days ago.

Jack, this is a interesting and good image. I think you would enjoy a leatherleaf viburnum.

Thanks RodeoMan. I had to Google leatherleaf viburnum, it looks like you could sand wood with those leaves.
