What a wonderful challenge. So many variations on "memories." I have spent many hours scanning old family photos into a digital format and, then, spending many more hours trying to sort them into some reasonable categories. Many enjoyable hours, I might add. This one is just one photo from approximately 1955, a family photo showing pretty standard dress for attending church services. Does anyone remember "white bucks?"

Took this picture in 2007 of my two dogs. They were roaming around our large yard when I called them. I pointed at the ground in front of me and told them to sit so I could take their picture. They both sat down as you see them with no help from me. It was just like they both understood exactly what I was saying and what they were supposed to do.. And it was a first posed picture for both of them with no prior practice. I imagine other people's pets might do the same. Maggie and Miles were really great pets.

I still have to digitize some old family photos for this (thanks, Dane - I’ve been “intending” to do this for some time and this will spur me to do it).
Meanwhile, here are a few other memories …

I met my Great Grandma Daisy when I was 10 years old. She was a very strong individual! She spent some time in Alaska. She was given the name Permelia when she was born but decided to be "Daisy" and so she changed her name. After she met me she began a friendship with me by writing letters to me after she had returned to her home in Boston. When in her mid 80's she knit me a two piece outfit, a skirt and a top . She was very talented! I love her outfit in this photo!
